After completeness check, I see following status message in my application and wondering what does it mean:
------------------
We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Latest update:
Review of medical results - October 28, 2020:You passed the medical exam.
You may not hear from us for a little while, this is normal. Most of the progress on your application happens closer to your estimated completion date.
------------------

The last message is bothering me because this is present for more than a month now. What does it mean that they are not processing my application presently and will wait for the time line completion date to complete the process and make decisions? Any one on a similar situation?

I think this is normal. Even i do see the same status.

The eligibility takes place in two stages. First an analyst or an assistant will review and make a recommendation. This can be recommended passed / Met / etc. This recommendation is then reviewed by an officer who makes a final determination. The terminology used such as met / recommended passed / passed an no relevance.

Eligibility is also the most time consuming stage. It starts after R10 is passed and continues until it is conclusively passed by an officer, after which the security starts.

The bulk of the processing goes in eligibility.

Hey @legalfalcon ,

Did I order GCMS notes at the right time or was it early?

Hi all,

Kindly help me with this one. If I go and give biometrics in Nepal , Will I have to submit my passport also in Nepal or I can submit it in India ( Currently living ).
Please help. Stuck badly over this

Hi @legalfalcon ,

Please how long does it take to move to IP2 from IP1. My profile has been showing "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check" for more than a month now.

AOR is September 07, 2020

It was a little early, you should have waited for another month. However, when your GCMS notes arrive, you can see if your eligibility has been initiated or not. But no harm done.

You can give your biometrics in any country, where visa offices are opening and are accepting biometric intake. It does not change your VO where you will have to eventually submit your passport, unless you inform IRCC of change of country of residence.
