Respected experts.

My AOR date is 13-Dec-2019 and I am still waiting for the PPR email as of today (16-Nov-2020). Almost 11 months now.
Recently, I applied for GCMS notes and got the response from IRCC.

###############################################################################################################
The assessment sub-section in the Application section in the gcms notes has below statuses:
Eligibility: Passed
Security:
HIRV:
Criminality: Passed
Org Crime:
Medical: Passed
Misrepresentation:
Info Sharing: Complete
Other Reqs: Cancelled
Final: Approved

Question 1: Does above status indicate that my application is approved and i should just wait for the PPR email now?

Question 2: Based on above details in my gcms notes, can i say that my COPR is ready but not sent yet?
###############################################################################################################

Question 3: If in my case, I am already approved to get the PR, how long can it take for me to get the PPR email?
Question 4: What is the email ID of the authority that sends the PPR email? I heard that sometimes it can goto the spam folder, so it would be nice to keep an eye on the source email ID.
Question 5: What happens if someone missed the PPR email and deleted that accidentally? Is there a way to ask for that email again?

As always, I cant thank enough of this community and everyone's dedication to help each other.
Hope this post helps many other people like me :)

In some cases it's taking a bit longer. Most files are still coming through around the 30 day mark. If you have not received a time extension letter from IRCC then you should receive your file soon

same here, applied oct 19, haven’t received yet. Hopefully soon.
Our principal applicant submitted a request on October 12 and received an email asking for proof that she was present in Canada on November 12. Not sure what that was about since she's applied for and received GCMS notes in both of the previous 2 months before this one. She replied within minutes but now we're waiting for them again....

IRCC ATIP can check for physical presence in Canada before releasing the file but it will be odd if they do so for Canadian citizens.... none the less you should get the file now. If you follow up about your file now you may receive a message like this;

"Please note that we have flagged your request as priority and the information will be forwarded to you as soon as possible."

We apologize for any inconvenience this situation may cause.

Hi @Aspirant2506
Good to know someone is also having the same status :)
Does that mean that our applications are approved?
My Counterfoil/ vignette creation date is 16-Oct-2020. COPR creation date is also 16-Oct-20.

What is your AOR and Counterfoil/COPR creation date?

Thanks
Shashi

Thanks for your response Shashi.

From all the knowledge I have got from these forums, looks like our Applications are Approved but still fingers crossed untill we get PPR.
My Counterfoil creation date is 01-OCT-20.

Also, do you see COVID PACE somewhere in your notes ? I couldn't find it in mine, but people have been talking about that a lot.

Thanks

It is possible.

My own theory - speculative only - is that they are running updates/database combing to identify files that are 'hung' waiting for steps or 'triggers' in processing where they have made changes so they can move things along. As an example, files that were waiting for new biometrics where PA has given biometrics in the last ten years, see recent announcement about this, revise to let the application proceed without new biometrics. (But note, there could be dozens of similar database/processing requests that would also be similar, like reallocating files between regional/field offices etc).

And that this process may trigger the so-called ghost updates. For example, for files they want to do something with as a result of the procedural modifications.

Or it could just be a system glitch.

I fully recognise my speculation - even if 100% accurate, which it 100% probably isn't - doesn't directly help anyone.

Bottom line: there are LOTS of potential explanations, they mostly don't provide information that helps anyone decide what they can do, every applicant wants to do something to speed their file up if they can - but mostly applicants wait and pressing the elevator button again and again doesn't actually make the elevator come faster. That said, most potential explanations for these ghost updates aren't bad from point of view of the applicant (something is happening), and there isn't much they can do anyway.

Those who really, really want to do something can order GCMS notes or write their MP, etc. But: GMCS notes often don't provide actionable information, or not much, and a bit of extra insight doesn't really speed things up either. MPs may want to help and try but they can't directly influence the process either.

Hope this helps. It probably doesn't.

No. The GCMS notes has no mention of COVID however, I raised a web form request and their response was that "We are working on half capacity due to COVID hence expect the delay" :(
