well sorry to inform you that may be a glitch ( of the other guy not getting ) , 99% get biometric updated immediately they submit the application / biometric.
well thats good you are happy thats the main thing. but obviously result is when u get ppr and that is after all fall applications with full application have been processed ( currently only march )

highly unlikely and difficult to believe. do post the screenshot here if possible
Biometrics are updated automatically in the account. However, most of the guys have not received any kind of updates in the application panel (The place where medicals, background check happens). Apart from this going to dubai is a personal choice and if someone wants to do it just don't discourage them.

info :- I have many friends who have complete applications (both for fall & winter) but no one has received biometrics update in the application panel (Only thing that is updated is the biometrics information mentioned at the bottom of the page).

This post is all about my biometrics experience at dubai.

- My experience at Indian immigration.
I had to go through 3 immigration checks points
1. First one was handled by the spicejet officials and they clearly rejected those who they thought had malicious intentions although mine went quite smoothly.
2. Second one was managed by main immigration officer and he didn't ask too many questions (he had a haryanavi accent and great sense of humour).
3. After that i was redirected to customs officer and he asked me numerous questions regarding purpose of visit, how much cash I'm carrying and past history in a closed chamber (cleared him too)(This one lasted for 20 mins and the conversation was quite hectic).

- Immigration experience at dubai airport.

Arrived at airport gave them my passport and visa and they stamped arrival on it (No questions asked). Then you have to go to other place where they will test you through RT PCR and will ask for a native mobile number on which they will share the report.

info:- don't worry about 2k dirhams its not needed.

- Biometrics Experience in dubai.
1. Go to Wafi mall (3rd floor).
2. Stand in the line and take out your bil, appointment letter and passport out of your bags.
3. Security personnels will check you.
4. Go the reception and handover your documents to them. Apart from this they will give you a form to sign.
5. Now move to room named "G".
6. There are actually 4 counters present in the room and you might called by anyone of them.
7. They will verify your details and send you to the room no 6 (in my case.
8. Biometrics will get over under 5 minutes.

Important Note :- even if you have a appoinment which is scheduled for later in the day you can come early in the morning.

My biometrics were updated instantly into my application. Now, I hope that I'll receive the update as I already have a AIP.
My Biometrics appointment is tomorrow. But my immigration process was super easy and did not require me to go through three officers. This is in regards to immigration in India flying to Dubai. No questions about reason of travel or how much money I was carrying either.

Thank you so much @Zr1911 for sharing this information. It is very helpful. I am an Indian citizen and have an appointment booked for December 1st at Dubai VFS. I have few questions and would greatly appreciate if you can answer them.

- Did you have to apply for Dubai visa from India? I already have valid US visa and have been to US many times. Looks like Indian citizens are eligible for on-arrival visa in that case.

- Did you have to wait at your hotel in Dubai until your covid results came out? And what did you do for local Dubai phone number?

- Did you also have to show covid test report before boarding flight from India to Dubai?

- Can you share where did you stay? I am thinking of booking something cheap around the Dubai airport.

- One last thing, how many days before your appointment you landed in Dubai? I am thinking of landing in Dubai 48 hours before the appointment time. Does that work?

Thanks in advance!

two people I know got PPR after getting bio done on 4th November. Submitted application on 28th Oct, got BIL on 30th, and are flying in the first week of December. But I'm still unsure as only those whose applications are being processed in China are getting PPR very fast and it's just a matter of luck
itll be great if you can tell us when did your friends receive PPR after providing biometrics on 4th of November

Here are your answers bro

1 - Yes I applied for a express visa from India which i received within 24 hrs. Since, you have a valid us visa you're entitled to receive dubai visa on arrival.

2 - Yes you have to quarantine yourself until the results arrive. I gave my friends number who is currently working in dubai but if you don't know anyone from here they'll just take your Indian number and apart from this they'll also stick a qr code at the back of your passport which you can scan to download an app which will help you to download your report (keep checking it as I received mine in 16 hrs).

3. Yup RT-PCR test is mandatory when you're travelling from India and then eventually returning back to India.

4 - Stay anywhere you want because you can easily take a metro and travel to dubai healthcare city which is only 500 Meters from VFS Global.

5. Keep a gap of one day between your arrival date and appointment to stay on the safer side in case covid results arrive a bit late.

But I'm not entirely sure as he's the first person I've seen getting their PPR so soon. Do you anyone who got PPR after getting biometrics done from dubai?
One of my friend gave his Biometrics on 6th. So, I'll keep you updated regarding his ppr.

Thankyou! I got an appointment for the 26th of this month at dubai vfs and I'm still unsure whether that would help in escalating my application or not

Well there's one thing for sure that your application might take some time because of files assessment which is complete in my case since i already have a AIP.

Yes. His application was submitted via the SDS stream like mine. Going to dubai is a gamble because what if the VFS centres open a week later I get my bio done
My friend received his ppr yesterday and gave his Biometrics in dubai on 5th and yes he applied from india.

His timeline
- 4th July applicant
- Received AIP on 5th September
- SDS
- Changed his college as well
- gave Biometrics on 5th of November (Dubai).
- Approval on 17th of November.

So ‘my friend’ who received ppr in a months time from applying was lying. Just got to know
