Congrats!! I applied for my BOWP on July 25th so hopefully i'll hear back soon too. Weird that you didn't get an email letting you know it was approved. Do you have a confirmation letter or something in your mycic portal with confirmation of your bowp?

Thanks! You should get yours very soon! No I did not receive any letters in my account or email. It just says approved and the document number and expiry date of the new permit

I called few mins back and agent said, it was approved and I will get WP in mail soon. Online account still not showing approved.

Correspondence letter- Nov 8
BOWP approval- Nov 12

This is for PR but it doesn’t matter.

No emails, logged in and found application updated and approved.
Less than 120 days.

One more help needed! Is there any chance of getting an interim work authorization till my bowp is approved? I dont have a job here but tied under ict closed wp. As there's almost no chance of getting lmia for software engineer, I cant get started with work. Please help. @legalfalcon

Hi All,

I am applying for BOWP. When filling forms, it asks for 10 years of employment history but only has 3 rows to enter data. How can I add extra rows and enter my remaining work history as I am applying online?

If you have requested for a BOWP, what is the status of your WP?

to apply for a BOPW you have to meet the following:

• live in Canada (Quebec not included)
• have a valid work permit that expires in 4 months or less
• be the principal applicant on your permanent residence application
• have submitted a complete application for permanent residence and passed the completeness check
• have your acknowledgement of receipt letter
  • we send this letter to your account after we get your permanent residence application

Which would mean that you have a WP, which is about to expire.

Yes Sir, it will expire by Feb 2021. But till then I need some employment to sustain my family! Can i work for other employers while i am working for bowp?
