SOWP or Dependent Visa

Hello: I got my LMIA and planning to file WP this week by attorney.

Question is considering COVID delay what is ideal option for my Wife to file SOWP along with my WP or dependent visa ?

We do not have real plan now for her to work , we can consider after landing in future ?

We are filing from US.

There is no such thing as a dependent visa. You should be filing for an OWP even if she is not planning on working because she is not a temporary visitor so a TRV would not be applicable.

Is there any other requirement criteria for SOWP.. She has diploma and been in US for 6 years as home maker and before that only freelance kind of work with no real employer relationship...
So is that will be an issue ?

That you be working in an NOC 0, A or B job. There are currently travel restrictions so spouses on OWP need special permission to enter Canada. Seems a bit hit or miss but seems more are now being approved.
