Are there any preferences being given to WP applictaions that were filed from US/Canada? I hear candidates that filed from US and currently in India have already received PPR & special courier instructions to send the passport to VAC for stamping, whereas candidates that submitted their applications much earlier than theme (that received approval/PPR) from India haven't even received any updates after correspondence letter, even though their applications were approved and sent to print queue (as per GCM notes). Couldn't understand the logic!

May be ICT WP applicants didn't rise enough concerns to IRCC, even after waiting for more 7 or 8 months since submission :)

I don't think so. Mine was filed by my attorney in Canada but I haven't received anything. WP approved mid of July as per GCMS notes and also sent to print queue. Currently everything depends on case by case, extremely lucky ones are getting PPR/courier instructions but I haven't heard from anybody in India that they have received PPR.

I raised several web forms and sent multiple emails regarding my WP, then got one automated reply that my application is approved but still no updates on the portal. After that, my employer from Canada has also sent a support letter to the high commission that my tenure is time-sensitive and the work needs to be started asap. Still, there has been no communication from the visa office.
I called the high commission yesterday and asked about the status of VFS and she said they are trying to open them from next week. Let's hope we all get our visas soon.

I have a query regards to lead time reflecting on their website, from which date they calculate it, from the date of biometric submission or confirmation letter

Work permit (from outside Canada)

India

22 weeks ?
You may need to give biometrics with your application.
This processing time doesn’t include:
  • the time it takes to send an application between a VAC and our office
  • the time you need to give your biometrics

Actually, it starts from the day you submit your application on-line

Can you please share the email address on which we can send an email to get any response. Also how to raise a web form ?

Thanks but the information received from the coordinator is that it will start from confirmation letter..any other has any different input here.
They are saying when they are following up with IRCC, they are quoting, your SLA is not over whereas 32 weeks are over, which means they are counting from confirmation letter.

Its in their offcial site: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-processing-times.html

'Your processing time starts the day we receive your complete application and ends when we make a decision. It may vary depending on how many applications we receive.'

I'm unsure what is 'confirmation letter' you are talking about
