Not straight from high school but I've been employed in the Energy Industry for several years.
You could apply for some kind of certification course in the field. Just write a nice SOP as to why you need to study what you selected.

Will definitely do that.

So far I've pretty much decided to do a diploma in either field. From this forum I've gathered that Seneca is pretty but it goes against my initial research as I was told that application to the smaller Provinces is a safer bet.

Well they may be say that because Ontario is more expensive than other provinces and the competition may be harder in terms of jobs....I personally didn't want to go Ontario but weigh your pros and cons. Plus your diploma will be at least 2 years which will give you a 3 work permit which should be enough time for you to sort out yourself

Where did you apply?

Can anyone state how the process works when you have a common law partner?
You need to show proof of relationship which is kinda vague but anything showing the same address, outings together etc. Also fill out the common law declaration and have it notarized

As per source of fund, can someone from Jamaica or anywhere in the world for that matter be used in that capacity or do I definitely need to have the funds to show?
