Hello,
I have been following this forum for months now.
A lady shared this on a Facebook group (dedicated to expired COPR holders). She said she hasn't received any AL just a message in ger GCC account.
This is her original query:
Hi everyone, I got a surprising email today from the ircc asking me to check my account ... When I did, I got a shock! It said that the validity of our document is 14.10.2020 to 31.10.2020. that's 15 days from now! Other than this I have no other document from them (no authorization letter or anything). I too had replied to their 4 pointer email abt 3 weeks ago.
Any suggestions on what this means? What should I do? Can I travel with my expired visa like this without any authorization letter but just a mere entry in my application?
Context: I received my copr on 3rd Mar 2020 and it expired on 26th May 2020. My VO in New Delhi.

This seems to be an error or they should wait to receive AL. What other option they have?

Did she check her spam folder? There are chances that email with AL got filtered out.

Please clarify, In a normal situation, IRCC sends hard copy of COPR and stamped passport via mail, is it correct understanding.

In Covid situation, whether IRCC sent COPR via mail then what about authorisation letter
In normal condition:
IRCC sends COPR and Immigrant Visa stamped on the passport via post in one envelope.

In COVID:
IRCC has issues Online COPR to few people but all them were In-land applicants(residing in Canada).

No need of authorization letter if you have valid COPR and immigrant Visa.

IRCC's 4PE mentions the following lines in first paragraph:

IRCC is contacting you regarding your expired Confirmation of Permanent Residence (CoPR) and Permanent Resident Visa (PRV) (unless you have an eTA) and those of your accompanying dependent family members. Do not attempt to travel without written authorisation.

If people are just getting an update in CIC account without ALs then this seems to be a glitch or error.

Its hard to stay motivated when you have sold most of your stuff and jobless preparing to relocate while everyone who knew laughing behind your backs you have no hope of any timeline so your life is stuck in limbo
Truer words never spoken! All family and friends just busy taunting, asking when is the flight? flight delayed 6 months...I quit my job in anticipation of this and now just in limbo

The fact that most of us are jobless and were on the verge on relocation, its really hard to stay motivated after all these months.

Just have to hang in there buddy, and assure yourself that good days aren't that far away, after elapsing over 6 months!

Any idea if she had submitted confirmed air ticket for this month or mentioned she’s ready to fly out with a tentative date of this month ?

I can empathise, I went through something similar during a limbo visa renewal when i lived and worked back in the US. It's really hard when you feel like your application is in a black hole with no end in sight and it feels like everyone is acting superior around you and waiting for you to fail so they can say "I told you so".

The best (and only) thing you can do is keep your head and energy up, keep doing your research on the job, brand and rental marketplace of where you are aiming to live and the industry you're aiming to work in. Gives you something to focus on and saves you some time and effort when you get here. Being currently jobless (if that's what you meant in your post) can be financially stressful but it also means you have the advantage of time.

Plus, when it all comes together, all those folks will have to eat their words and you remain the better person.
Thank you really needed the encouragement

New Update from NDVO:

Entry restrictions for Canada remain in effect until October 31st and Canada’s Visa Application Centres (VACs) in India remain closed at this time. The safety of our clients and staff is paramount during the pandemic.
While the VACs remain closed, we are working to launch a limited passport submission service next week. Stay tuned for more details. Changes to VAC services will be shared here once available.
We know many eligible individuals and families have been awaiting the safe reopening of VACs in order to travel; we greatly value your interest in Canada and appreciate your ongoing patience during these challenging times.

I asked her, she said she didn't attach anything with the 4 pointer email...and has been checking the spam repeatedly all day...She hasn't received any email.
