Hi everyone, I am just like you in a similar situation. My husband and I were supposed to travel on 23rd march this year but we could not due to the lockdown and our COPR expired in April. We have raised multiple web forms since then, ready to travel forms and have tried taking help from my brother who is a Canadian citizen. Unfortunately, we are stuck in our home countries with no jobs, savings going down the drain and no hope to hear back from the New Delhi visa office which not only worsens our anxiety everyday but also frustrates us towards the casual attitude of NDVO. I read people talking about the 4 point email and CIC account status changing but for us, nothing has changed except that we are extremely depressed. If you are reading this and you think you have a solution for this, please help.
Hey @Nishm14, @Canaspirant xyz @kanugln3

I can totally understand and relate to your situation. I am in the same boat, while I agree that things have slowed down, it is the IRCC's responsibility to give us an answer. If this situation was the other way around, IRCC will reject our applications or ask us for 101 justifications for a small error in our documentation or application but in these circumstances they have failed to provide us answers and am starting to loose trust. As applicants, I am sure most of us have been rational in dealing with this situation but I guess IRCC does not care about that. All the optimism is good in this forum, but its not growing any fruit. But I really appreciate each one of us supporting each other here.

I can't find a job here in India, because the job market has taken a big dip and going by IMF and WB, things will be worse in the coming days. Thankfully, I also do some freelance work through which I earn enough to pay bills. I saved for 3 years to have POF in my account. I have retired parents here in India to take care off and pinned my hopes in getting a descent job in Canada to start of with. My apologies for sharing my thoughts here as all my relatives and friends have started taunting me for making this decision to move to another country. They can go s#@k it.

Maybe IRCC and NDVO are not competent enough to handle this unprecedented situation. In fact, I have started paying $600 rent to my roommate in Canada while I am still here in India UNEMPLOYED. All this to fulfill lease agreement and proactively submitted Plan for quarantine and other doc requirements to IRCC and raised multiple webforms. They respond through their call centers in China/Ottawa with Generic responses. No matter how much we outpour emotions on forums such as this, Its a only a pacifier than actual results. You go to Immigration consultants for help and they will try ripping you off.

In Conclusion, all we can do is just wait for IRCC to respond to each one of us.

Fingers crossed!

They had clearly mentioned that do not make any bookings before you get AL.So you should not have done that as they are not even opening all web forms. This is entirely mechanical process it seems. Emotionless..robots are sitting there.

Hey, It is sad and frustrating to go through this which is why have a group where help each other out. Right now, It only seems like a waiting game. Trust the process and be patient. We are all in the same boat.

You are right, but you know how vulnerable this situation is, I just wanted a place to stay and moreover found a roommate who seems to know the lay of the land and has promised to help me with a job, once I reach there. You get the big picture right!

This robot thing is new, hope its not a bunch of RPA based systems at work. I always thought my Webforms will reach the immigration officer assigned to my file.

This even more disappointing.

Just spoke to an agent through Text Now after 1 hour wait time and she informed me that My Immigration officer has my docs and is under review and she can only give that piece of info and the wait continues

I was giving this adjective to the agents only who are blindly sending mails without going thru webforms.

Its hard to stay motivated when you have sold most of your stuff and jobless preparing to relocate while everyone who knew laughing behind your backs you have no hope of any timeline so your life is stuck in limbo

I can empathise, I went through something similar during a limbo visa renewal when i lived and worked back in the US. It's really hard when you feel like your application is in a black hole with no end in sight and it feels like everyone is acting superior around you and waiting for you to fail so they can say "I told you so".

The best (and only) thing you can do is keep your head and energy up, keep doing your research on the job, brand and rental marketplace of where you are aiming to live and the industry you're aiming to work in. Gives you something to focus on and saves you some time and effort when you get here. Being currently jobless (if that's what you meant in your post) can be financially stressful but it also means you have the advantage of time.

Plus, when it all comes together, all those folks will have to eat their words and you remain the better person.

COPR was always a hard copy sent to the applicant on the mentioned address but in COVID they started sending via email.
Please clarify, In a normal situation, IRCC sends hard copy of COPR and stamped passport via mail, is it correct understanding.

In Covid situation, whether IRCC sent COPR via mail then what about authorisation letter
