My application was received on January 16. Also, done with medical and biometrics.
My sponsor application status still showing Application received and has not been updated since March.
is anyone in the same boat or this is normal?

Very similar to mine. After Bio/med in March, my online application did not update.

No idea what are they doing? They announced to process 6000 applications each month from October to December and its October 10th but still no movement..

They say that to calm people down, some people are receiving their COPR but no where close to 6000. They want us to speculate it is going to be around 6000 but most likely it be total of 6000 that even until December. It is their tactical move to the protest

I wonder if anyone has applied for TRV recently? How did it go? I am a permanent resident and looking to apply TRV for my spouse in India. I read in previous posts that they are rejecting TRVs while a spousal sponsorship application is in progress. I am just looking for a fresh update on this. Is it worth to apply?

I am in the same time frame as you,
Application received: Jan 14/20
SA Approval: Feb 11/20
Transferred to KVO : Feb 16/20
Medical passed : Mar 12/20

Have heard nothing from there Biometrics were sent with the application from the start. Hopefully we hear something in the next couple months this is crazy! Easy applications should not be taking this long, these people are playing with our lives, just overboard now especially when I see others in Sametime frame an already processed through mississauga office, KVO an other offices need to get their shyt together!

I have applied for TRV in March 5th, 2020 with sponsor approval and Principal applicant background check is in process but I still don’t have a decision on my application.

Nothing has changed, TRV’s are still getting rejected if your spouse do not show strong ties to his/her home country. (Perhaps having a permanent job with leave letter or established rental properties could help but still nothing guaranteed) Immigration minister has done nothing so far to help our cases beside just declaring they would finalize 6000 cases each month until December. Of course I don’t believe that either.
