Quick question about Spousal Open Work Permit

Hi all,

I know it is hard to answer this question but I just want an estimation. I got my AIP on the 7th of September and now waiting with you all for PPR. However, my wife has not applied for her Spousal Open Work Permit, yet. If she applies next week and gives her biometrics in a short time, is it possible for us to fly to Canada this December? Is there a possibility? Thank you very much in advance for the responses.

I do not recommend that she applies for SOWP until you actually get a hold of a SP as that may affect the final decision on your application.

It might look like you're trying to immigrate, not study and you'd be a red flag for the VO.

No clue. All of us neither know when will stage 2 processing start nor do we know when will the travel restrictions be lifted exactly. I predict that final decisions will roll out by the end of December.
