I just submitted my profile as PA and after submission I was able to see my CRS and it was around 10 pts lower than the last cut off in Sep 28th. I know the score varies in each round though. Can my wife, who is few years younger - apply in parallel as PA - separate application? does that pose any issue?

Thanks for your help,
ASethi

Your wife can create a separate profile, but of course if she's younger and will have a high enough score, you should just withdraw your current profile and be the accompanying applicant on hers.

Thank you very much.

The only reason i applied as PA was that she lost her job in this month and i fortunately have mine. I wasn't sure if that sort of thing makes a difference? as in, during any stage of the PR process, can this cause any issue (if she becomes the PA)?

Before this month, she was on H1b, just like I am right now, but we have filed for her h4 application (under process and it takes time to get that final h4 status too).

Appreciate your help.

They are asking for experience within last 10 years hence it doesn't matter if she is in job now. All it matters is that the job was while staying legally in a foreign country. So no issues for your case.

Thank you harirajmohan! since the H4 application for my wife is in progress and since that takes around 5-6 months to get a final decision on, do you suspect that can be issue if for some reason that comes out at RFE?

In addition, since my wife is a 'dependent' on me (I am on H1b, and i filed for her H4) - does that disqualify her on any account for being a primary applicant?

I applied for PR while H extension in progress.

As long as she can produce employer letters showing 3 years of work experience during the last 10 years, she can apply as a principal applicant.
