Do Pakistanis need to interview for Study permit ?

Just curious as I saw some posts relating to this

Some are called some arent i got visa in dec 2019 wasn't called for interview another guy from this forum got visa in feb and he had to go through an interview

Yes, he applied from Pakistan. Not every student has to go thru interview though. They did some interviews in pre-covid era either by phone and/or calling them to embassy in Pakistan.

I read on this forum that post 2020 all pakistanis are getting interviews. any weight to that claim ?

No. Not everyone got interviews. I however have seen few of members getting called for interview in Jan / Feb 2020. I am not sure what's the plan for post-covid.
