I think I received an AOR today by email.

It states that my application for <spouse> was received on <date> and that it is in a queue for processing and they will advise me if anything is missing. It says that the application ID is temporary and I will be given a permanent one after they have reviewed my application for completeness.

regarding application ID: On my biometrics fee reminder it was F<number>. On this letter it was XF<same number>.
I received an email today stating that they have received my application and they gave me a temporary app no. that starts with X. Is this already AOR?

I believe it is. Others have received the same email -- check the email subject, mine and others says "Inland AOR"

Glad to hear that things are moving along for you guys!

I looked at the history of the Inland spreadsheets for March 2020 to August 2020 and was quite awestruck. It's really out-of-this-world that a bunch of AOR got sent out for people who applied between March and August all in one day!

Hello. We sent our application on august 27. Arrived September 1 and I got an email in September 16 asking for the biometrics fee. It does that means that they have opened my file already or it’s an email they sent everyone who applies?

It Is not AOR, file starting with x is temporary, as it states on the letter itself. AOR starts with F. Only early march has been getting aor.

My file number starts with F. It doesn’t have an X . That means something? Thank you :)

Unfortunately no, as that was from biometric reminder letter and everyone up to September was sent this email just like they are sending this prospective AOR now. Not sure why they put an F in the bio letter, someone told me they had spoke with an agent who said that was a mistake, which makes sense because now we're getting these XF numbers

Strange.. I wonder why they're sending "prospective" AOR numbers. Is that a new thing/part of their new, special COVID-19 response?

I called my lawyer today. She told me that it might not be a mistake, they are trying to work faster , so probably they have assigned me my file number because she had some cases where they sent file numbers starting with F and then they didn’t change it All for the whole process. So it might not be a Mistake after all. Let’s see what happens. I am just happy that in 2 weeks I got that email, it means that at least the opened my package.

I applied for SOWP from US on Aug 21, biometric was done on Sept 4. No updates after that. Medical not needed. Eligibility review in progress and background verification in progress. Does that mean , things are moving?
