Student Permit Rejection. HELP for re-applying

Hello all,

I applied for my student permit for Canada on 7th September 2020, and received a rejection on 24th September with reason:

I am not satisfied that you'll return to your country after the end of your stay based on:
1) your family ties in your country and Canada
2) limited employment opportunities in your home country
3) your personal assets and financial status

I am now thinking of re-applying by addressing these reasons.

My Profile:
Home country: Pakistan
Marital status: Single
Age: 24
Education: Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering (from Turkey)
Admission secured: MEng Engineering Management, University of Alberta (2 years course)
Work experience: 2 years as an R&D engineer in Turkey

I applied for the student permit from Turkey as I live here. I attached bank statements of my father and myself, stating that my father will fund my expenses. In my LOE, I mentioned my intention of returning back to Pakistan and working there, but that doesn't seem enough to convince the Visa Officer.
To address the rejection reasons had the following things in my mind:

1) For family ties, I have an elder brother and sister, both are independent and about to get married. My father will retire in around two years and that will leave me to look after my parents. I'll mention this in the LOE. Added to this, I plan to attach a stamped affidavit from my father where he'll state that he guarantees that I will return to Pakistan once my studies is finished.
2) For employment opportunities, I have a conditional offer letter from a Pakistani Company which requires a masters degree for me to join them, I believe this can help convince the officer. But the offer doesnt mention that it will be valid for 2 years.
3) for personal assets, I plan to explain it through my LOE that for the two years of my work experience, all the money that I have saved is in my bank accounts since I plan to support me stay in Canada for that as well, and that is the reason I dont have any personal assets in my home country, since it is kind of impossible for me to own a property at this age with such little work experience.

I would like some advice from people who have had similar experiences.

Thank you

Damn, your profile seems to be a good profile to be rejected.

I am no expert, but maybe you need to show more assets in your home country?

Hoe much money do you have in your bank account? Hoe much is your tuition fees and how many years are you going to study?.

As you can see here https://www.ualberta.ca/graduate-studies/prospective-students/tuition-and-cost-of-living-estimate

A student will likely spend about 21k to 28k in living expenses per year excluding tuition fees. So you need to show you have that amount, plus tuition fees, for 2 years, because that's how long you're going to stay in Canada for.

I have no assets to my name in Pakistan. But I showed all the assets to the name of my father. Plus I showed my father's tax documents which shows alot of money as cash in hand and prize bonds (190,000 CAD approx.).

My father is sponsoring my studies so this is the money we showed:
Father' account: 30,000 CAD
Father's cash in hand and prize bonds: 190,000 CAD
My account: 13,000 CAD
Property assets (to my fathers name) worth 50,000 CAD

13,000 is not enough to financially support your stay in Canada. Let alone paying for tuition fees.

But I have a sponsor letter from my father stating that he will fully support my studies. Plus I cant show more money in my accounts, since that will be in conflict with my salary and work experience

Your father is not the one going to study. You are above 18 and not a minor, your father cannot be obligated to support you.

Transfer all the money you have set aside into YOUR BANK ACCOUNT. Then show your sponsor letter from your father so the visa officer know where the money came from. No one cares whether you have a sponsor letter or not if the money is NOT THERE IN YOUR ACCOUNT.

You can't use a sponsor letter or property and bonds to pay for tuition or rent or food. Your father's account, property and bonds are irrelevant as proof of financial documents.

His case is different but it isn't the same everywhere. In some countries for example in gcc or asian countries no one works and everyone is dependent on their parents or family until they graduate and have a job of their own. It's quite normal to see a brother paying for a brothers tuition or a father paying for their adult child's tuition. They don't have this mentality of working and studying over there. The parents consider this their duty to educate and get their child married. The law mostly doesn't permit work for students. where are you from btw ?

You have to show funds in your account.
Moreover, your home ties are weak. Affidavit will not work. But conditional job offer will work good. Produce such more documents. These documents will help you a lot. Any property your parents have in your home country will also be good.

Clearly you can't read. The problem can be solved simply by moving the money into the applicant's bank account. OP only has 13,000 in his bank account set aside for his studies
The vo won't look at someone else bank account and think that the applicant can support himself financially. This is Canada you're talking about, not the gcc or Asian countries. The vo follows the law in CANADA.

I do understand that. what I meant was when such people apply for a permit they have this same mentality and are not able to understand what led to a refusal by the VO.

I think your main issue is applying from Turkey and not Pakistan. Unless you are a permanent resident of Turkey, it is a big minus to your case. Try applying from Pakistan and you might have more luck
