PCC application Rejected -CEC

Hi guys,
My husband applied for PR on aug 26th with CRS 486 and received ITA on sep 2nd 2020.
He applied for PCC in Toronto which was rejected because the spouse name is not updated in the passport.
We were asked to update the same using passport re-issue service.
My concern is after reissuing of passport the passport number will be changed but we filed application with existing passport number .
Will this get complicated ?
Please let us know how to proceed futher and what can be done to make the application processing smooth?

As you are yet to send out your application, just change the old passport number to the new in the form. The form is editable until you gather the documents and submit it finally.

I am sure this must be coming out of BLS India, Toronto who have own set of foolish rules and those idiots just waste time of people. PCC is for an individual and just wondering What spouse has to do with this.

I got my PCC recently from India, whereas I added my spouse name in the application but I don't have it on the passport. I didn't face any issue and they gave my PCC after police verification.

You can add a letter of explanation provide the new passport number through the webform.

same happened to me.. they said that cgi has rejected the application. Is there a way to get out of this as an exception? I really don't have enough time to get my passport reissued

I got my wife’s PCC without my name on her passport.
I did added my marriage certificate.
Also, screenshot of document page of IRCC application. Where it showed she needs PCC
And lastly, one letter addressing to High commission of India saying ur details and her details and requesting PCC for her.

(They did typo, and wrote Ms instead of Mrs, but I ignored that, As I think, it doesn’t matter much)

Did you find a workaround for this? Same thing is happening to me right now

I got an official reply from Consulate General of India in Toronto and they said this ia a change brought by the MeA and they can't grant an exception. For now, I think tatkaal passport is your best bet
