Hello everyone,

My open work permit expires soon. I got married but my marriage certificate still hasn't arrived. And I also need another document.
Anyone know if there is any way to extend?

To be able to continue working, you need to submit your complete inland sponsorship application along with the OWP application - and that application package needs to reach IRCC before your current open work permit expires. If you can't get all fo the documentation in time, then convert your status to visitor so that you maintain your status in Canada (you'll need to stop working once your current work permit expires).

No - you cannot.

The OWP must be sent together with the sponsorship application or it will be refused.
