I have been following this blog as I awaited my NEW PR Card. Thanks to all the contributors; your posts and advice were extremely helpful.

Sharing my experience:
May 1, 2020 - received permanent residence status from CIC (I did not do a formal/physical landing)
May 22, 2020 - submitted my confirmation of permanent residency (COPR) and photos to the Etobicoke Landing Office
September 9, 2020 - PR card was approved and in mail

What email address does the AOR come from? I don’t want it to go to my junk.
I’m still waiting from May 22nd.

I'd like to know as well. According to Canada Post tracking, my PR renewal application was received on May 27th. However, I have not received any AOR email. Also, when I check my application status using my Client ID Number / Unique Client Identifier (via the https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-status.html link), I do not get any results. How are people here checking their status? I'm wondering if there are any issues with my application since folks who submitted later than I did have received a response (seems like a few posters here with application submitted in Jun and have received AOR).

By the way, I submitted the PR renewal applications for both my spouse and I simultaneously. Our individual applications were sealed in two separate envelopes and we combined them in a larger envelope to mail to the PR application office so that we wouldn't have to pay two times the courier fees. I am worried now that this was not protocol and will delay our application process?

Mine came from:
Do Not Reply - Ne Pas Repondre <Client-update-mise-a-jour@cic.gc.ca>

Email subject: Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada: Information about etc.. (your application number and correspondence Id goes here)

I am also applying for citizenship at the same time, and I've noticed that AOR comes in pretty randomly there as well. I got mine end of August (submitted in March) but people who submitted in January are still waiting.

I believe you are only able to see any results when checking your application status when you received your AOR, that's why you aren't seeing anything online.

Once processing starts we will get email from
Do Not Reply - Ne Pas Repondre • Client-update-mise-a-jour@cic.gc.ca.
Even me too faced problems initially and after getting AOR , I am able to see my status with UCI number. I don't think it matters if we club both applications in a single package.

Good day all . After all that waiting since March finally got surprised by this letter today .So this it might help out people that they have an expired passport to go ahead and renew your passport as primary ID .
Before you apply for anything .this is the letter I got :
your application for PR card is not complete and there for is being returned to you for the following reason :
✅your primary ID document is missing or unacceptable or expired please note that PR card is not acceptable as a primary ID.
✅application dated more than 90 days before being received by IRCC
Require that you update absence Re-sign Re-date
Well guys when I sent my application everything was updated in time and now after been pushed from March -sept they took advantage on everything which is not my fault . they telling us that during the pandemic everything should be ok

Did you provide an expired passport as id?
If yes, wondering if you had a DL?

I can not understand IRCC reasoning here.
I think you are the second case where they claim that the application is over 90 days old and return it.
All March, April, and May applicants have more than 90 days passed since their application is submitted.
Also in my case, my passport was expired when I submitted my renewal application on May 5th and I received my AOR today.

Several applications from March, April, and May receiving AOR at the same time
which makes me think that IRCC divided the backlogged applications between different offices/workgroups to process in parallel.
If this is the case, I suspect that some IRCC employees, who are not used to process PR renewal, are making these strange decisions.

I sent my application for renewal through xpresspost in March then my passport got expired and they return it back to me for that reason
