Apparently some Australian cities are starting their processes. Do you think Canada will follow the suit soon? Any ideas?
Soon ?... Are you kidding? ... Certainly not ... It might take more years if we don't do anything, check out the latest posts in this conversation:

Federal employees have a process called 'code 699' allowing them to be paid without doing anything + Their union is very, very powerful, and does not want to go back to work right away.

You should contact your local fedeal deputee + call IRCC to lobby, better than doing nothing and passively waiting.

Everyone pls. Some make some encouraging comments.
Some encouraging comments ??!

Do you prefer that we tell you lies?

This is the strict truth, unfortunately ... All the indicators seem to say that the process will be delayed for years and years, because the employees use the fear of the pandemic, the 699 code, and the strength of their union to make it happen. last the deadlines ... Sorry, the happy world of telltubies where all stories have a happy ending doesn't exist in the real world ... Really sorry for you.

Unless we do something and make noise, we will wait years if we remain in the pasivity ...

Negative noise will take you no where. You have to be positive, encouraging, respectful and allow IRCc todo their best, not to push back.
You can see from this forum alot of applications has transitioned from AOR to in-process.
This means IRCC started working again, taking into account back to school and other business openings.
Your turn will come sooner or later, its going tobe long wait. We all know that.

Its global pandemic , yes IRCC might not have full plan ready yet to back to 100% velocity, but i believe they are working on it, I have faith in the Canadian system.

People cant stay at home forever.

Totally agree with this. Negative outlook won't help you. We should at least have some empathy with current situation going on.

Why lie to ourselves?

I just want to be realistic, not pessimistic ...

Did you only read the article?

Some selected extracts:

https://ottawa.ctvnews.ca/federal-employees-really-nervous-about-returning-to-office-during-pandemic-pipsc-1.5083160

OTTAWA -- The president of one of Canada’s major federal public sector unions is calling on the federal government to continue to invest in work-at-home infrastructure, saying employees are “really, really nervous” about potentially returning to the office due to COVID-19.

Daviau said discussions on back to work protocols between the unions and the departments are going well, but there are many unanswered questions for union members.

“They’re very concerned about their safety in internal spaces, with poor ventilation, not enough space between work spaces and I would say the vast majority of public servants, who continue to work very productively from home, are not interested in returning to the office before they’re really safe for them to return to.” (Note from me: This means they are calling for a daily covid-19 infection rate of zero before considering a return to work .... I don't see what else that can mean = Years and years of waiting)

“Some are saying we’re in no rush, we’re able to do the bulk of our work remotely and therefore we’re not going to return people before October, or November, or the end of the year even,” said Daviau on plans for departments to bring employees back to work.

The Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada says employees are nervous about returning to work,

What we’re been pushing for is a lot of notice period for people so they can reorganize their lives and of course making sure these workplaces are safe to return to,” said Daviau.

In addition : A few people who called IRCC customer service received information that the online testing pilot project has been canceled, pending in-person testing. No deadline has yet been given.

I'm not a masochist, i' am on the same boat... I hope I'm wrong, really from the bottom of my heart ... But I'm not on my own. I know how to be lucid. I am not confident the wait will be long and painful.

Contact your local federal parliamentarian!

To prove my point, answer is in my question
"Did you read any Canadian media (including rebel) mentioned about delays in test (don't consider oaths, just test) ????"
My friend they would not show any news for concerned applicants waiting for there test, would only post something when it would actually start
