on 2nd inquiry the rplid file in under review with a visa officer
I got the line on ecas "we started processing your files". That obviously means that my file is being worked on. Not "we received your file"

my understanding is a visa and assessing officer is the same.

Review steps: as per CIC

The first step took place at the Case Processing Centre in Sydney, Nova Scotia where a review was
conducted to assess whether your sponsor was eligible to sponsor you and met the requirements for
sponsorship. We will now assess whether you, the applicant, meet the relevant requirements to be
granted a permanent resident visa.
Your application will first go through a pre-assessment done by Case Analysts. Case Analysts do not
make decisions. They will go over the facts of your application and deepen the understanding of your
circumstances before your file is assigned to an officer for processing. You may receive a request for
additional evidence.
Once your application is assigned to an officer, the first step will be for the officer to review whether you
meet the requirements for the Family Class category you applied under. This is called: Eligibility.
Once eligibility is completed, the officer will review your admissibility to Canada. Providing there are no
concerns, the decision on your admissibility may closely follow the decision on your eligibility. However,
complex medical conditions, criminal records or security concerns can significantly extend the
processing time of your application. Certain reviews or verifications are conducted by partner agencies
and these verifications will most likely extend the processing time of your application.
Once these reviews are completed, your application should be ready for final decision.

i hv came accross the steps my concern is determination of eligibility took ages for lots of applicnts are stuck at aor2 step.
criminality is determind wd pcc
security or bgc is post-prearrivals step this is wat confusses most of applicnts with medical passed/criminality passed (according to gcms notes) yet the elegibility is hanging in air. my point is lvo is acting strange and not following their own pathways nd processing flowups in few cases

How you expect after Covid process will take its usual course. We are witnessing lot of exceptions (DM without pre arrival, extend in medical etc.) painful time but we have no choice but to wait Inshallah things became in our favor soon.

This is what I don't understand. They had November to March to work on our files after AOR2. How long does it take start working on the files? Even eligibility hasn't started. Most of our cases are straight forward with a normal wedding. Then, why the unnecessary scrutiny. We are already 5-6 months after the 12 month mark. They need to step up processing.

LVO dealing with approx. 17 countries. If you discussed with ppl who already gone through with this process, they confirm that LVO always takes 2-4 months and then start working on it. Probably due to backlog. I can understand your rage but we have no choice but to wait.

atleast i dnt expect normal course of processing from lvo as they were unable to process most of the files with 1 year processing mark before covid too.
m 18 march 2019 applicnt my file took 9 months just to be transfer to lvo and 1 month for aor2 . right away with aor2 adr was requested provided within a week on jan 18. from that day till march 18 2020 and from aug 3 till date complete silence irony is i cant link my app with gckey with multiple inquiries and webforms sent to technical team of ircc/cic m yet stuck without even knowing where my file is rolling arround.
maild MP and its been 2 weeks with no response this whole system is exposed by covid-19 the loopholes the flaw it holds from ages everything is exposed.
hope u came accross my concerns now :p:)

If applicants r getting more time than 12 months then who is responsible...Canadian immigration officials should hire more visa officers to handle backlog but it looks opposite...i think they become drunk and then sleep in lvo daily..at the closing hour one of these vo wake up with one file sending ppr
