Did you submit a ready to travel webform? Did your VAC in Riyadh say anything about what their process will be? I think different VACs in different countries are handling things differently because on this thread itself i had read about Paris VO issuing ETAs and somewhere else extended that persons COPR medical expiry date to 2021. I think in India NDVO may stick to issuing ETAs only because of the high volume of expired COPRs they have to deal with. This is just my opinion.
no i just called to ask i didny submit ready to travel form

My parents COPR was issued on March 16 and expiring on Oct 13, 2020. They are not comfortable travelling at the moment.
Should I raise the web form or let the COPR expire and do nothing yet?

Considering its almost 1.5 months away, not much of an issue if you want to wait for raising the webform. Definitely raise prior to expiry though.

At least a week or two before will be recomended. Gives the agents good enough time to record on the file.

Best wishes for continued good health for your Mom. Which city are they in?

Their health is good but just that they are not comfortable travelling at the moment.

Yes, please raise the webform for inability to travel. Once they feel comfortable in travelling or you receive any directions from IRCC then raise the webform again.

On a side note, air travel right now is kinda secure with all the precautionary measures put in place. IMO, if your parents have some underlying health conditions then its understandable not to travel atm otherwise I would encourage to travel prior to CoPR expiry as there is no official processing time given for CoPR extension or ETA.

(1/3) Please note that all VACs across India will remain closed for the month of September, and restrictions on entry into Canada remain in effect until September 30th. The High Commission of Canada is operating with limited staff and providing critical services only. https://t.co/W8Ytdyx84h
