When are the citizenship tests coming? Are they going to be in person when they come, or are they implementing online citizenship tests?
Priority question is about citizenship tests and when is it going to be resumed? .
also can they be more clear with the communications rather than keeping everyone in the dark?
Not individual status stuff but something that tells you how they are doing things and the plan to recover from an unpredictable pause in processing citizenship applications

Question 1: Shouldn't individuals paying on average $1400 for a family citizenship applications with many likely out of jobs or on reduced hours be entitled to some basic level of communication and some indication of processing time.
Question 2: When is the Minister going to provide a statement or some communication addressing the delays?
Question 3: What is the plan to mitigate delays and improve processing times
Question 4: When are citizenship tests beginning? If waiting for in person why they have not started when schools are starting? Also why CIC is trying to go back to the old ways of doing things on citizenship tests when they should be changing to work around the pandemic as this is not going away anytime soon

Thank you for sharing, lets start the questions with priority order:
1- huge backlogs for 2019 applicants who waiting for the test, AoR or even applications to transfer to local IRCC offices. we need IRCC to prioritize 2019 backlog , and start processing 2020 applicants who are in the same boat. Everything is open now including schools. We can wash hands and use sanitizer before testing, let us not use covid as reason to delay, other sectors has back to business with caution.
2- alot of us waiting for the citizenship to get better jobs, opportunities or peace of mind, let us keep this in the list.IRCC prioritization is around PR or students only.
3- start digitizing citizenship process. No more paperwork long waiting times
4- sponsoring parents should not be a lottery system. If one have financial ability then it should be in backlog based. Not lottery that take years and might not even get selected at all even if people can financially bring their parents.

I'm sorry I've many questions regarding Citizenship and spousal sponsorship, I know it's not a place for spousal sponsorship but if you can ask?
Q1. Why Express entry, work permit, study permit are more important? are they only paying application fees not other categories like Citizenship or family class?
Q2. Want very clear answer like when the test will start and how will they clear the back log, not a generic ans like "We are working very hard to solve the issue", not like that. We want something from Sep or from Oct we are going to start and we hired 1000 more employee to make it faster. Can he provide some info like that?
Q3. Why families are so neglected where spouse are from visa required countries? If USA can give spouse visa then why can't Canada with some strong condition may be?
Q4. If people can come from other countries then why they are not allowing to reunite with family members with some kind of special visa, where most of the cases 179(b) is not allowing spouse to get the visa. If safety is main concern then close everything except PR and Citizens.
Q5. If they have issues with family class then they can clearly mention not to love or marry someone who lives in third world country, Can they do it please? Or we are ready to leave the country if they want? We are working hard to improve the economy of Canada not to suffer in every steps.
Q6. Long distance relationship make it harder and it's breaking many relationships, can they help us not to suffer from those issues?
Q7. Why student's can come with their spouses but PR or citizens can't bring their spouses within a month? If security is the main concern then does it not apply for students or workers?

Q1) One question I would ask can we have service guarantee of these services from immigration and if IRCC misses the timeline due to the problems at their end, should they return the fee collected ?

When will Marco start prioritizing Family Sponsorship applications, people are waiting for than 12 months, some are waiting for more than 24 months, and new appications have not been touched since March 2020. Many of us are going through depression, anxiety, insomnia and several other health issues just because of your silence.
We appreciate for sharing , please tell to Mr minister , because of your silence we are under a lot of stress , it is our right to know the exact time of resuming the citizenship test .

Mental health and stress is huge factor to all of us. Our applications delivered dec 2019 and all we got is AoR. Not even mailed to the IRCC office for processing. If they need extra documentation or validation the process might take years.
