Hey guys,
Anyone here waiting to get biometrics done at service Canada locations since forever?
Anyone considering to travel to US or know someone who has gone to US to get their bio-metrics done?

From what I understand, it's not possible to go or come back unless you are a PR or Canadian citizen. And even if you can, the journey has to be for essential work.

You can travel to the US as long as you have a valid visa and come back to Canada if you have established residency in Canada; however, you will have to self isolate for 14 days.
If you are a U.S. citizen living in Canada as a temporary resident with a full time job in health care field, could I in theory go back home to the States, get my biometrics done, then come back to Canada?

I have a question for those who have received Biometrics letter and their medical examination has been passed. Is it true that until the biometrics request is completed, application is still considered in progress and if your passed medicals expire while waiting for biometrics to be submitted, applicants are asked to resubmit their medicals?

There is some recent update. Check here: https://moving2canada.com/travel-to-canada-coronavirus/
I also tried calling IRCC and verify this, and there is indeed an automated message which says that people are being contacted individually by Service Canada to schedule their in person biometrics appointment.
I submitted my studypermit application and received a request from the IRCC asking for biometrics.
Currently we don't have biometric centres opened anywhere in INDIA.
Is it a default request that appeared ?Can I ignore it or should I update them anything?
Because currently for AIP 1st stage, I read like we don't need to provide any biometrics.
