They are only issuing confirmation of permanent residence and no CoPR as Arun_canpr mentioned. since it's virtual landing not physical thus Copr has changed to..for the time being. there is Copr no mentioned on the letter but no landing date or place but that you can see on your online status.

Just got CoPR this morning, and the letter asks me to mail the CoPR and a photo to the CIC office so that they can make and deliver the PR card to me.

Hi jetzhou,

if you don't mind, can you please share your timeline such as AOR date, Medical date, etc. to compare it with my timeline?

We got the CoPR from Etobicoke, but we received it only for the main applicant and not for other family members. Is this normal? They asked to send back the CoPR copy and photo. Should we send photo of the entire family even though we have not got CoPR letter for everyone

Hi Everyone, I already have CoPR in hand, but I still received a letter about "virtual landing". Looks like this email only sent to people who don't have a CoPR. Therefore, I am wondering if they are going to send me a CoPR again?

Also, for those people who received "Virtual Landing" email. How long did IRCC reply back after you provided the information?

Thanks.

Hi, I received an email from CIC-Etobicoke-Landings, with subject "Confirmation Of Permanent Residence (application number) " and the message is "In order to complete your application for permanent residence via virtual landing - please confirm that the you and your family members are in Canada. If you are in Canada please indicate the date you entered Canada and the port of entry that you entered and Canadian address.
If you have not yet returned to Canada please advise once you have returned and port of entry.
Please reply via return email.
**Please confirm if you are in Canada**
"

I responded to the email and I know there is a process change due to covid, but I am bit confused.

I heard from my friends who got PR confirmation recently with a passport request letter. And while reading about Copr online it says it is a kind of approval letter with photos of individual. I am staying in Canada with my wife and kid and after applying PR didn't make any travel. My queries are.

Can I consider the email (without any attachments or letters) as my Copr?
If yes does it mean that 100% pr confirmed? IRCC website says there might be an interview to review documents again after Copr. And when will I get passport request letter?

Thanks in advance.
Did you hear anything back from IRCC?

I got my CoPR in January 2020. Already working and living in Canada. I've been waiting 7 months for landing. My landing appointment got cancelled due to COVID-19. I called IRCC, but they don't provide me any information why they are not processing my PR landing. It's really disheartening to know that I'm the only one in this situation.

Sorry for the late reply...
Email them back and tell them that you want confirmation letter for all family members who are in your application. because to apply for SIN nr. you will need individual confirmation letter.

it's because you cannot complete landing on current COPR because you cannot do landing by crossing border or through appointment. and that's why all landings are getting done through virtual landing. so do as explained on the letter for virtual landing.

reply them with the required information and you should receive CONFIRMATION OF PERMANENT RESIDENCE through mail within 7 days. If it's delayed then email them back and enquire. also make sure that they send you confirmation for any family member who are included in your application.

Hi, thanks for your reply. if I understand it correctly, the CoPR I received previously is not valid for "virtually landing". Therefore, they are going to send me a new CoPR specially designed for the "virtually landing"?

I replied to the email and provided all the requested information. I am wondering should I expect a reply from IRCC (email) or I should expect a new CoPR in the mail? Thanks for your time.

You will get CONFIRMATION OF PERMANENT RESIDENCE which is as good as CoPR. That copy of confirmation along with your passport size photograph you have to send back for the processing of PR Card. If you have not received the letter in a week then do write to them on the same email ID & check about the confirmation letter.
