Did you sent your application to CPC Sydney NS?
mine was received on March 25th at CPC Sydney but nothing after that. I have mailed them via webform to let me know the status of my application. Do i call them too for a temporary file number?

Can you please share the phone number you called at? And are you the sponsor or PA?

Call them again and ask them if there’s any update on your file

I called them today and yea i am the sponsor..this is the number ‭1 (888) 242-2100‬ and when they give u option to select just press 2 then 1 and then 0.. call them at 9:00am

My wife is in India, are VACs the only place where you can give biometrics in India? Or is there some private/third party service that will do the same?

That wasn't enough for me, I needed to double confirm. I then sent a web form asking about my situation, didn't tell them about temporary application number, I got a reply back saying they have received the application and when they have reviewed it in the order they received it and when they deem its a complete application an email will be sent out.

So if you are calling them, and they say processing only Jan, Feb, March whatever, I would suggest to give your details and ask the agent to check if they have something in the file for you. Until now, not knowing anything, I thought worst case my application was lost and I would have to resend it (even though it was signed for by some Adam), now I have temporary number which means someone opened my file, its somewhere, its better than nothing I guess.

HI ,

first of all congrats on finding out about your file and having the temporary file no.
secondly , i am in same boat as yours. i have got this temporary file no. since first week of may when they opened their call centers after shutting them down. i am not trying to dishearten you but all this temporary file no. means that this file has been received and initial info is in the system. A full thorough checking of the the documents is still pending. one of their rep told me that no body has worked on the file yet and once all the document are verified either this temp. file no will become the permanent and x in the front will be removed( my temp file no. started with x in front ) or the file will be sent back in case of missing or wrong documents.

Asked my MP to check into my file. I'm guessing no change.

I was just on call with an IRCC agent. They gave me a temporary application number. It cannot be linked to the GCkey account. Once they are done reviewing, they will send the final application number which will override the temporary application number. It's up to you if you want to link the application to Sponsor's or Principal Applicant's GCkey account but they recommend using Principal Applicant's GCkey account. These are the updates I received.

Edit: My package was delivered on March 16, 2020 for the reference.

What information do they need in order to look up the application?
