It's relative new for MSP to cover applicants with AOR. A few years back, they only take inland applicants in AIP which is at the very final stage of the process. We purchase private insurnace for emergency coverage.

awesome, thank you for the reply
I am upset with the fact that Ontario treats applicants in such a poor way=(
Are there other provinces like BC where an outland applicant can count on governamental medical insurance?
how far along are you? I ask because if I am reading the website correctly, there will be a 3 month wait to be eligible for MSP after moving from another province? I am not from BC though so I really have no idea if this is correct.

We applied in October 2019
I am an outland applicant
My husband got a letter that he is approved as a sponsor in November
The file moved from Nova Scotia to Warsaw in December, also in December I passed medical test and biometrics.
Unfortunately Warsaw works very slowly. And somehow people who applied after me have alreadygot CoPR, whilst my application is still in process

MSP sucks, up until earlier this year, we had to pay for MSP that I rarely used and when I actually need it, it does not cove all the costs.

What do you mean by that? You had to pay under the new MSP? I didn't even know it changed.

Before January 2020, If you make above certain wage ( i think 30,000/year) you had to pay $35/ person (maybe cheaper if you have family) monthly for MSP I believe.

Yes, and we still do, it's just taken out of taxes our employers pay (many used to pay the MSP anyways) and general income taxes. Much like every other province.
