Tech Draw: OINP to issue Notifications of Interest for Ontario’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities stream

On July 29, 2020, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) will issue targeted Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to candidates who may qualify for Ontario’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities (HCP) stream and have specific work experience.

If you receive a NOI, you do not need to contact the program.

If you receive a NOI on July 29, 2020 and can demonstrate that your work experience is in one of the eligible NOC codes listed below, you may apply to the HCP stream.

The OINP will target candidates with work experience in the following National Occupation Classification (NOC) codes. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) range of the draw will be posted on the Express Entry Notifications of Interest page on July 29, 2020.

0213 Computer and information systems managers
2147 Computer engineers
2172 Database analysts and data administrators
2173 Software engineers and designers
2174 Computer programmer and interactive media developers
2175 Web designers and developers

Thanx for the update! 474 2147!! Will I get a NOI? What is the process btw?

I think a lot of us are eligible, but not sure how many NOIs they would be giving. IRCC should have done an all program draw last week so their CRS scores are more balanced. Or IRCC should do a draw today to help them out lol

I am not having good feeling about the scores and type of Draw (FSW/CEC). Fingers crossed though. Best of luck to all IT candidates

Thank you for the response @13nitinsharma!! I am a bit overwhelmed with the process. I was wondering if you could answer some of my questions.

1. Last OINP draw as for CEC only. is this one for foreign skilled workers?
2. If I receive NOI, I'll have 45 days to submit my application. Will I still be in EE pool in these 45 days? OINP costs you an additional 1500 CAD and the process is a bit longer than EE. Idk if it would be a good idea to accept the invitation or shall I wait in the EE pool since I have 474.
3. How long do I have to accept the invitation? I know I'll have 45 days to submit the application once accepted.

Please correct me if I am wrong. TIA

Hi, if its FSW/CEC, do you think there’s a chance there will be a CEC draw tom? Im just wondering. Thanks.

Hmmm.... will the it people become the next PNP candidates in the next draw.... or is the OINP thingy done finalized independent of express entry draws. Good luck to the tech guys
