1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on August 1, 2019.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on October 23, 2019.
3. We started processing your application on November 13, 2019.
4. We sent you a notice on December 2, 2019 to appear and write the citizenship test on January 24, 2020 at 10:16 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
5. We sent you a notice on June 30, 2020 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on July 14, 2020 at 12:45 PM. The notice you will receive will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
6. You became a Canadian citizen on July 14, 2020.

So you did not have a previous oath in Macrh/April that was cancelled?
Can I also ask if/when you had Decision Made appear on your online status?

Citizenship application delivered - 22 July 2019
In progress - I do not check
Test invite - 23 December 2019
Test date - January 8 2020
DM - January 15 2020
Initial Oath Ceremony invitation - 19 Feb 2020
Initial Oath Date - March 18 - Cancelled due to Covid
Virtual Citizenship Ceremony express of interest - 7 July 2020 (Got this through Email)
Notice to Appear for Video Oath - 9th July 2020
Notice to appear for pre-ceremony registration - 16th July
Pre-registration Session for the oath ceremony(Documets like my id.s where checked) - 17th July
Virtual Oath Ceremony - 21st July 2020

Few Things to add
- I didnt request for urgent processing.
- I didnt receive any phone call. All communications came through email.
- I am not an essential worker
- I live in Niagara Falls but test was done in Scarborough. Also, citizenship ceremony was handled by officials from Niagara Office.
- Ceremony was quick and easy - 20minutes in total.
- 2 people took oath - Myself and another person(Not sure where this person is from)

Hi Gill. Do you have any idea that oath of citizenship be signed with black ink Ball pen or black ink Pen. Other members who have completed their oath are not responding to my above request. Will share your views?

Either should be fine as long as the signature is not smudged when you scan it. Good luck.

I have a question. I wrote my test back in feb 2020. I passed and following day ecas changed from in process to DM. Previous Monday(July 13th) when I checked my status it changed to in process. What does that mean. Anyone ! Thanks

It means either your criminal or security clearance were expired, and need to be re-cleared. But no need to worry if you have no record it will be done really fast.

I did finger prints while back...probably may or June of 2019
