Thank you for your inputs.
But, the ability to travel form is the deal breaker here. Landing in winter won't be wise with kids, and neither do I want to miss the opportunity to board the first flight available - if between the 2nd and 4th week of August. My managers are aware about my move, and have agreed to support. But it is upon me to reciprocate appropriately. And hence, I wish to give suitable notice period.

Thanks again though. Good luck!
You are missing the processing time for getting the new CoPR and its validity. What if you raise the ability to travel in Oct 2020 and get new CoPR in Nov 2020 with validity of 6 months expiring on May 2021? In this case there is no need for your to wait for winter to get over for your "ability to travel" webform. There are many probabilities and there could be chances of IRCC issuing new CoPR with a validity of 1 year based on your current medical report. Just keep things simple and go one step at a time.

JUST AN UPDATE:

Today IRCC conducted first FSW draw after 3 months hiatus. This might or might not mean anything but this is still a positive step. I know it's still early but we may seeing other positive things in coming days.

It's not only for FSW it's for every stream.

Candidates from the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, Canadian Experience Class and Provincial Nominee Program were eligible for this round of invitations.

They had to do that. They have long-term plans and everything is paid for, so they must conduct these planned actions.
As it was stated before - immigration is a big money business.
The fact that the mechanism is working gives us hope.
Crossed my fingers and toes.

Hi friends, got visa approved on 18th March 2020 but my passport is in a closed VFS. Is anyone in the same situation as me and if so did you managed to get your passport back?

Hi,

My CoPR approved date is before March 18th and it is going to expire soon.

Could someone please answer following questions:

Is it possible to extend my CoPR ?, If so how can I do that ? ... I already reached out through webform but I got generic reply.
If I do soft landing in Canada, Is it possible to use AVR to return back to USA with valid i20 ?

Appreciate your help on this.

Thanks.

Seats gonna fill super fast. Half an hour ago when I checked there were seats available in Economy on 13th July for something like 1.32 Lakhs each and there is a layover at Doha for around 10 hours.
