I understand there are also quite a few undergrads who lost their jobs during the pandemic a few months shy of achieving a 2 years of experience. These unlucky international students may end up being the real victims during this crisis.
How can they get Canadian experience if they haven't completed their programs?
He is referring to a portion of people who pay employers for LMIAs to secure NOC B Canadian experience. It is rampant in the food service industry and gas stations in Canada. The real victims end up being legitimate International students and immigrants who wish to do things the right way.
Oh really? I knew there's a a lot of shady stuff that goes on like fake marriages and what not but I didn't know you could pay someone for a LMIA. It's funny actually cos some of these diploma/certificate programs are a joke, Idk why people are unable to complete them
Yeah sometimes LMIAs are even sold abroad as well. It’s a really shady industry. A lot of people really want to come to Canada and I believe miss the forest for the trees
A good news for u some or may be not , ielts paper based exam was conducted in 7 cities in India , with 50 candidates in a hall , and was a success . Ielts gonna happen soon in all cities soon , be ready for 470+ again

I emailed my local VFS now (South Africa) to find out if they can tell me anything about when they might reopen. The website just says the Canadian VACs in Cape Town and Pretoria are closed. Nothing about reopening.
