My in law received by mail after ten days approval. Don’t worry much. You should receive yours very soon. Other issue is they will state you need to make appointment or re-enter Canada however neither of them is available due to convid 19.
Thank you. That's very helpful, btw whats the procedure after receiving copr? did they mailed PR too? Is your in law is in canada or some where else??

AOR- 03 OCT 2019.

Finally .. got an email today from IRCC landing unit with below message -

"Good day, we are pleased to inform you that you are now permanent resident(s) of Canada. Attached, you will find a letter/letters confirming permanent residence status for you /and your family. Congratulations and we wish you every success in your future in Canada! "

looks like with the current COVID 19 situation, below is the new normal -
- No PPR request.
- No Landing appointment OR interview.
- Send Photos as per convenience for processing the PR card (timeline 1 year).
- The letter in email can be used for applying government benefits and services.

Looks like IRCC offices are clearing the backlog now.
I hope everyone in this group will get the golden email soon :). Good Luck !!

Did you need to contact them or they sent the email by themselves? When did you receive your passport at home with CoPR? Thanks.

Did your profile changed to approved before you get this email or is it still in process?

I was expecting PPR requests after approval but instead, I got the COPR update on my online account portal .
I got the COPR attached in email from the landing office directly.
I believe, this is mainly because of the current COVID situation and inland application.

Congratulations!
I hope IRCC clear the back log of those that already receive CoPR first.
Now it make me wonder whether this automatic landing happen to those that have received CoPR too or not.

If the COPR is issued via passport submission and via return mail then I believe, those applicant needs to submit web form to get the appointment for interview. Then it depends on the interview office to validate the PR on call OR just send the Letter asking to apply for PR card.

The COPR document received from IRCC will have the steps. If you are getting email and COPR attachment from landing office itself then mostly the next is to just apply for PR card.

I have CoPR. My web form reply is just ask me to wait for further update.
They should setup a new process soon, this covid situation will takes months before they can schedule in-person interview.

This is also my case. I have sent a webform for a schedule for landing appointment. I was told to wait 6-8 weeks before they will contact me. 8 weeks already passed, and I still didn’t receive a call. Also, i did a follow yo call with IRCC and they just told me to wait.

seems like there is no standard process. Till now I have seen various scenarios in different forums-
1. Direct COPR via email, asking to start with PR card process.
2. COPR then validation via email.
3. COPR then validation via phone call.
4. COPR Via mail then asking to wait for further process.

looks like the process is up the visa officer's discretion.
