Visitor record and sponsorship question

So my sponsorship application (including owp application) has finally gotten delivered in Mississauga today. I am still waiting on a decision on my visitor record though, so I am wondering what happens if my visitor record gets denied.

I know if I get the sponsorship application sent back I'd be out of status if I dont do anything and I'd need to restore my status, but if I dont get it sent back would I have the implied status from the owp from the day it got delivered in mississauga or only from the day I get the AOR?

So I am sending my visitor record application soon and my PGWP will expire next week. I will be sending my sponsorship application by may. Will I be in implied status after I send the visitor record?
