It does affect Spousal Sponsorship. The right to PR fee is going up by $50.

I think a number of us have been wondering if this is real. The source quoted is not a government source and can't really be trusted. I haven't seen anything on the IRCC website and I think it's odd they haven't announced anything if this is really happening April 30th. This may just be a bunch of BS. Guess we'll find out next week.

it does affect sponsorship if Fees for spouses or common-law partners of all economic classes of immigration will go up from $550 to $825. The fees for dependent children will also go up from $150 to $225;

As you yourself stated, that is for ECONOMIC classes. Family sponsorship is not an economic class. The only change this year for Family Class is the $10 RPRF increase.
