You can always apply. However keep in mind 1.5 million Canadian's filed for unemployment benefits recently
Hey! I’m also concerned but my lawyer said it’s going to get worser later on, so I applied yesterday. But it’s a risk and also a long shot since there are so many unemployed people right now.

Hey! 1123 Marketing Specialist. From submitting to getting it approved, 13 days. But that’s because my boss took a while to schedule the interview, it was supposed to be around 8 days.
Which country are you from. When you submit the LMIA application, after how many days you got a reply.

LMIA doesn’t mean WP will get approved. Given the current economic conditions getting an WP may be difficult.

Absolutely. They are a paid employee and as such you need to submit tax,CCP and EI remittances to the government.

How can you get your LMIA with in such a short time and secondly your boss cannot schedule interview with service Canada he have to wait until they call him .
There is a priority processing channel for LMIAs. My friend got an LMIA for an academic position at UBC last year and it was issued two weeks after they applied for it.
Mara71 , I think you already posted in a different thread talking about "misleading" and its completely unfair.
I did receive my LMIA in 3 weeks and its absolutely possible.
Maybe due to the circumstances now, yes it can be delayed. But I have applied for LMIA twice and got it approved in 3-4 weeks.
