For Indians, date to travel is after 14th April when expected lockdown will be over. Lets hope things get better by then. Not sure if even everything goes fine will they light the international flight ban on 14th April or allow few international flights?

Yes, i was wrong with my prediction of exemption date in mid april. Let's wait for official announcement. The link only shows update in a warning note.

If people arriving don’t self isolate , like immediately staying in shelter for 14 days, no going out ,it’s almost guaranteed the Government will rescind any exemptions. I think the Government is seriously, like seriously getting ticked off . If they are even contemplating monitoring people’s movements by cell phone , you can bet a dime to a dollar , they’ll just only allow citizens/PR. They won’t care if you’re a student, TFW, COPR, people better listen

This is 100% right. It would be irresponsible to disregard the serious guidance they have issued.

Even if those exempted are allowed into Canada, most countries are locked down till almost mid April, No inbound and outbound flights.. Traveling into Canada will still be minimal or almost not at all in my opinion.

I hope so too but I will strongly advise anyone with less than two weeks visa expiration to send web forms and e mails.

Yes. The announcement regarding the border closures was made on the 16th of March but was taken into effect on the 18th. I suppose that's why the exemptions would be anything approved before the 18th of March.
So, it is the 18th or the 16th? Anyone have a clue??

'...on or before March 18, 2020, the date on which the first interim order came into force.' When did the first interim order come into force, March 16th?

Do you have golden ears? You got 9 in listening
No, unfortunately :D Even though I studied music for several years, I still cannot steadily identify musical intervals and write musical dictation. So I wish I had golden ears. But yes. listening in IELTS was relatively easy for me. Just clear your mind and concentrate.

They have yet to address this situation. I was hoping that they will shed some light into this matter as well.

There are no outbound/inbound flights from UAE at the moment.. All flights are grounded. Not a total lockdown but almost. There is no way to fly to Canada at the moment for me. Even once the travel ban is lifted, not sure how many airlines would be operating. Travelling via Europe is impossible. Direct flights are the only option. Hoping and praying things start to get better by April.

You are not being forced to travel immediately, It’s up to you. Why does it sounds like you’re making it as if it was a mistake that they allow us? Nah, just be thankful. And since it’s still not safe to travel then don’t travel!
Soooo both outbound and inbound flights have been banned in many countries, airlines are not flying to Canada and corona is still at large, BUT STILL they want us COPR holders to travel??
