I raised this question from another new thread, but no one responsed. Please help here. Thanks!!!

Hey guys, I know it's a question with the answer "move out of Quebec", but due to Covid-19, I have been in a dilemma. I received ITA last month, and I had decided to move out of QC at the end of this month. In recent one month, I had tried assigning my apartment (not done yet), submmited my resignation letter to HR ( done, but HR said I could stay longer ), and also looking for apt in Ontario ( not done). However, as you know Covid-19 is getting more severe aross from Canada, and it's worse in ON.

Friends suggest me not to quit recently, because it might be hard to get a job in such a situation when companies start wfh and may lay off due to bad economy. Another concern is that after leaving QC, I and my partner (we both need to leave) will lose health care and insurance, I am afraid of the worst senario ( getting infected...)

For sure it's better to leave instead of an explanation letter. Can any one give some comments?
1. Should I just leave in order to make EE process smooth and safe?
2. If I stay, how to explaine in letter to convince visa officer?
3. What's your suggestion?

Thanks in advance!

line 3 - 401 - 450 - 41512 is a summary of lines 4 to 8.
And line 9 - 351 - 400 - 50130 is a summary of lines 10 to 14. So you should ignore those 2 lines ( 3 and 9) in your calculation.

Hi. I got my MBBS degree ECA verified by IQAS which gave the report as "first professional university degree in medicine"

At present my score is 474 with highest bands in all IELTS sections and an overall score of 8.5.

The dilemma is, I'm not sure my ECA from IQAS will be accepted. Can I submit my profile in the express entry pool based on the IQAS ECA or I need one specifically from MCC?

Going for the MCC ECA option, I will cross my next birthday and my score will drop to 469. Or will submitting by IQAS ECA cause my application to be rejected?

Please help anyone!

CIC probably halt the draw because of Coronaries

nobody will work in Canada

score will hike racket high
It's more likely the draws will go ahead but there'll be a delay in processing time of applications. Canada just confirmed their immigration targets within the last week and have announced contingencies and allowances for immigration applications. Unless you have evidence to the contrary I think it will be business as usual until otherwise announced.

probably no draw as everyone need to stay home due to virus
People still have to work. It's just a matter of being diligent for your own well-being and considerate of people around you. If they can work from home they will. The draw is probably the most automated step in the entire process, so likely one of the least affected.

The score may go down to 420 levels in coming months as IELTS has closed all the center, WES closed so no new people can come in the pool and it may make the score down to 460 then 450 .... 420 levels...
It depends on the frequency of the draws though.

Having conoravirus does not mean the society halts to function. There are other ways such as setting up internal guidelines for the workers and employees how to keep hygience and have better personal habits.

It is the gathering/social activities that are mostly likely shut down/stopped. Stopping work is the last resort.

Canada is barring entry to all travellers who are not Canadian, PR or US citizens. I'm afraid immigration intake will be affected to some extent as well. Let's see on Wednesday what happens with the draw.

Also, companies are already implementing WFH policies - I don't know how public offices can deal with this and whether they are even allowed to work from home. It's going to happen what already happened in Europe - unless you can work from home you won't be allowed to work in the office as usual.

Hi All,

I have my bachelor's degree completed in may 2013 and went to the US for masters in Aug 2015 (2 years gap).

My current overall experience is 2.5 years. CRS score is 446 (currently in pool)

Any suggestions on how to cover my gap to increase the CRS score?

Thank you in advance
