Hi everyone
Unfortunately this thread isn't active like before. I think because the presence of the tracker !!!!
Personally I can't depend on the tracker. I think it's very possible to be used to put certain pressure on us as it's very possible to be used by fake names and fake emails and maybe by people who are not in process to be residents.
What do you think?

I personally dislike messages like the above. A fellow member created an excellent tool to remove uncertainty about timelines. It's a fantastic informative tool.

This forum is still open to all, to speak about whatever issues we want. But the tool provides excellent information to all of us—and there is no evidence (nor reason) to suspect that people are using fake names. So please don't accuse anyone without any proof or indication. People can also use fake names or dates here, so what's your point?

I personally would like to thank the person who did the tracker. Someone has spent time of her/his own to help the community. If you don't like the tracker, don't use it. But don't complain about the efforts of people who are trying to help us. Everyone is still free to talk in this forum, so I don't understand what's the problem. If you want to keep posting your timelines here: DO IT. But updating the tracker has nothing but benefits to the entire community.

And to whomever created this tracker: THANK YOU AND KEEP IT UP!

It is because the significant decrease in Quebec Skilled Workers program applications.
If you check the tracker - the one that you don't like - you will see this fact.

Last year, in 2019, there are 24 entries (applications) during the months of January and February.
This year, in 2020, there are only 4 entries.

It seems QSW program or this forum is losing its popularity.

I am not sure if I understood your question fully.

> Agent says we need to lodge federal before CSQ Expire.

Yes that is true.

> how long does it usually take to lodge federal these days thanks .

If you are asking about AOR, ( Application Received Confirmation letter) , It seems many applicants who applied after June 2019 or July did not receive AOR yet. It does not mean CIC did not receive your application but there is some red tape or operational delay in sending out AOR for unknown reasons. I think it has everything to do with the anti immigrant racist CAQ govt of Quebec. cutting 20% quota for immigrants to Quebec.

My time line is November 2018 and Acknowledgment is Feb 2019, I did Medicals upfront and put my wife as non accompanying in my file. my file was in process from last 14 months, however yesterday I applied for GCMS notes two weeks ago to find out whats going on. yesterday, I got a message, they asked my wife's Police certifcate, who is not accompanying me in the PR process and also updated Schedule A forms for both of us, which were already sent with the file. Is there anything to think about on this, is this a good news or bad new lol

*Great point. It also goes to the fact that the government hasn't been giving many CSQs lately. In fact, there haven't been more than a dozen CSQs through arrima. The statistics show that there were fewes than 400 CSQs through the regular program in January 2019 (compared to 8,000 in 2018).

*And if you read the other forums, the government is delaying the PEQ applications since October (the three-week rule is not being enforced anymore).

Ultimately, that's the reason why we don't see a lot of new people here. Sadly enough, this is maybe going to help us because timelines are probably going to speed up for federal applications (since there aren't many people with CSQs in 2019). This means that, after all of the 2018 applicants are cleared, the waiting times are going to reduce (from 22 months to 15-17 months, as CIC claims).

@Andremory87

I came across an Access to information document requested by some good soul regarding the numbers of CSQs issued in 2019.
We also have to keep in mind the 20% immigration quota cut by the CAQ govt and I believe that is the reason Federal waiting times shot up from 15 to 22 months.
