Hi Members,

Need some help.

I applied under PGP 2017 second phase. At the time of initial application, I submitted my application without co-sponsor as my income was meeting MNI requirement for 2014, 2015 and 2016.

During 2019, I received medical request for my parents, police certificate and a financial reassessment for 2016, 2017 and 2018. Due to change in financial circumstances, I was not meeting MNI requirement for 2018, therefore, after checking with CIC, I added my spouse as a co-sponsor to fill the income gap and submitted all requested documents together with my employer letter which states my annual salary for 2019 (which is again above MNI requirement).

Yesterday, I received a letter telling me that I am ineligible to sponsor my parents as I don't meet MNI requirement and further I can't add my spouse, as co-sponsor, at this stage.

Need guidance/suggestions from members

Thanks in advance
Sorry to hear this additionally your application likely reached final stage. If u’ve read it wisely Ircc mentioned
1. later on u can not add a cosigner if u decided to go without a cosigner.
2. They will reassess your financial anytime till your parent landed.
Did u check if found ineligible, continue to process... if u did till have a big chance, otherwise,...

Spoke to IRCC, they confirmed that information in initial application gets locked down so as I did not add any co-signer, later I cannot. Further, I have
to wait till they send me final letter of refusal in which they will mention what further steps are available, if any. Only option so far is to reapply in 2020 with "co-signer"

Hi All:
I am new to this particular forum (am part of the PGP 2019 forum, since I sponsored my Mom only last year), but I had a unique question so thought I would post here.
My mom has also been sponsored by my brother for a US Green Card. She got approved last year, made her US entry in May 2019. Subsequently she also got her Canadian immigration sponsorship (which I am sponsoring) approved, we are at PPR stage for that.

My brother in the US says that if the US immigration authorities see she has also applied for Canadian PR they may likely cancel her green card. Basically it shows intent to immigrate to another country.

Question --> Has any one on this forum also sponsored their parents (through another sibling) for US immigration? If so, and if both were approved (US & Canada sponsorships), was there any problem on the US side?
Reason for asking is that my mom will have to go back and forth from US to Canada as she fulfils her residency requirements (3 out of 5 years to get citizenship in both countries). In one of these border crossings, if US immigration flags the Canadian immigration as a problem, then they may cancel her green card....

Then continue what you left off in PGP 2019 ... What you are asking is not relevant to PGP 2017.

I desperately need help.

In 2019 August the Dakar office sent me an email requesting for my parents passport so they can issued visa, I sent the passport with other documents indicating that my parents were visiting Canada. They office in Dakar( Africa) resent my parents passport back to me with no visa and no instructions on what to do. Since September 2019, I have been waiting for directions no response. I have called immigration many times and no one is yet to give me an answer. I have also tried calling the Dakar office in Africa but no one is picking up their calls nor returning my emails. My parents profile online under status says decision made medical results received. Right now, I don't know what to do. I was in the 2nd intake for pgp 2017. Any advice will help as I am so confused.
Thanks,

Hello guys,

I am posting this on Family Sponsorship 2017 because I am looking to get some answers from people who already went through the process and their Parents/Grandparents got their medical done.

My mom fought cancer about 2.5 years ago and has been in remission since then. She is doing great with God's grace but I am now sponsoring her under PGP 2019 program.

My questions are:
  • Did anyone had a similar case as mine where their family member fought cancer in last 5 years?
  • How did you parents/grandparents medical go?
  • Was it considered medically inadmissible based on the excessive demand?
I am really worried about our case and would like to get some motivation from other people whose parents/grandparents also fought cancer within last 5 years and successfully cleared medical?
Hi Milan,

I am in the same boat as you and will be happy if you can provide me more details about your case. My Mother had a past History of Uterus Cancer and its been 2.5 years she is perfectly fine now after surgery . There are in India and After medical being advised for Oncologist recent assessment. I can find an oncologist but what actually is expected to be filled by him. Is there is any format ? if yes , Do you have it . what did your oncologist provided ?

Considering COVID-19 all hospitals are not taking patients for normal assessments. Should i be reaching out to CIC for extension on 30 days.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

It would be best to get a letter from her oncologist regarding her case. Information about diagnosis, treatment and prognosis plus any relevant documents.

Hi Milan, I got your message. I reply here so that anyone has the same question can see.

My dad had stage 1 lung cancer diagnosed in 2017, after surgery no chemo was required. When we received the medical request, my dad was in Canada on super visa. So he did the exam here. It was pretty smooth for the doctors visit until she figured out my dad had cancer history. She advised us that she would refer my dad to see an oncologist. Let us waited for further instructions. Then long story. No oncologist accepted my dad for assessment cuz there was a lot of documents they need to fill out. I kept calling doctors offices to ask for appointment. But they turned me down. It was very hard to find an oncologist in Toronto to accept my dad. So I asked the referring dr. If we could go back to our home country for the consultation. They said no. Since we already started our case in Canada, our only option was to continue our case here. I called the hospital at my home country, got same answer. But anyway, I found one finally.

Then, I believed CIC make their decision depends on the oncologist’s assessment. My dad’s case went well. We received a landing letter within 2 months. Hope this will help.
Hi Dream Big ,

Thank you for your response to Milan. I have a same case as milan for my mother who is perfectly fine now but need to get the oncologist assessment done. My Parents are currently in india and i would like to understand is there any specific format for assessment as my mother oncologist is not clear about immigration process and asking what are the requirements from CIC in case my mother is well after surgery from last 2.5 years. is there any test required ?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Applicants would need to undergo medical examination. The doctor might decide if test required.

Self explanatory - your mother need to provide the panel doctor a medical assessment from the oncologist.
