Living the same horror movie of silence... recently it moved finally (AOR2 Mexico) , but is still not over until CSQ is passed and received. We all having life on stand by... is a tough period.

Extremely hard I am currently working, thinking in this we have no AOR of Mexico yet, transferred since October my husband goes into ECAS every day but nothing yet CSQ still September 24.... in Quebec website.

I feel only people here understands how I feel, everyday I get asked "when you leaving, why you haven't left yet?" nobody understands what Canada immigration really is.

We middle of this month already, I just hope by end of February they at least processing October CSQ.

This week they gonna cross the start of October 2019 (unfortunately ours been received at the end of October which is why i've asked help from politicians cause Mexico is clear on timeline and if i let the situation as it... she won't be entered before the end of the Immigrant visa in April (which correspond to Medical validity))

MIFI ... now do updates weekly on site.. 8-10 days in + so tomorrow they should turn up to October 2 around.

Exactly!!! is very annoying "oh why it takes so long, you haven't left yet it is really that long?" people is annoying asking questions they more interested in our lives than their lives but none understands this lol only here I feel everyone understands how I feel.

Lol tickets are expensive, we still need to afford a one way ticket once I have finally my passport back stamped, and all this process has been $$ translating documents etc.

Same case as me I am the PA, I am from Guatemala I don't know why CentralAmerica is being so hard in this process, and translating all has been very expensive too I think nobody outside this understands really all effort we have put in gathering papers and the waiting time.

Visitor Visa isn't an option either, they don't give it easily so we need to wait I told my husband they day I arrive in Montreal airport I will feel like Princess Mia arriving Genovia lol.

Plus after arriving we need to accommodate to our new life and to learn french too, so journey continues.

I'm well placed to understand all you listed.

lol arriving is just the start is what i tell to my wife and yup we've tried a visitor visa for 2018 xmas.... of course it's been denied which i've added in the sponsorship files... really stupid reason so now deal with it Mexico!

I've put it in BOLD

Wait.! so you saying she can't travel . because she never did ?!? Is that really the only thing you guys found ??

Wanted her to come visit me around 5 weeks for xmas time (to give me a break of going there at winter... is really tricky to let your house !) and returning in January but they denied it stupidly caue she never "travelled" for them...

We went to Antigua Guatemala, Roatan (Honduras) but no it doesnt count... lol that's really whatever

Is what my husband tells me too, is just the start of a new life different to what we are use to here in CentralAmerica starting for the weather I have never experienced less than 10C lol.

Mine too, we applied for a visitor visa got rejected for same reasons "not enough travel history". Wondering what it really counts for them? we have traveled in my case Panama and Costa Rica so not sure what they looking for travel lol.

That's super nice, we got married in Antigua Guatemala since is my home country and bring all Quebecois family too.

Being long distance is hard, but praying by April we are over with all of this.

Reading your stories makes me happy I've had my Canadian visa since I was a kid. We get to visit each other every 2-3 months tops.

I wish though, that the process was a bit more transparent, the anxiety of waiting months with absolutely no updates adds so much stress, and the fact that there's no clear timeline of when anything is happening. At least if we knew that in month 4 they work on this, and then month 5 work on that... but nothing.

I also see that there's no actual order, to me it doesn't make sense that they've requested my biometrics and medicals, but haven't approved my husband (the sponsor), or done background check. In my head those would be the most important things to do before working on the applicant.

We get to see each other every 4 months cause i CAN afford it with my schedule and all and some friends helps me out with taking care of the house especially during winter , without it , it would be super complicated.

And no, There's no real standard sequence in things unfortunately during the process.

Going for a vacation week in April (3 to 11). hoping to get news beforehand... as it's supposed to be over. We have fingers crossed so she join me on the return ( which would help her entry )
