Hi,
This is in regards to PR that I am planning to apply next year.
Currently, I am studying in Canada and have 2 months left in my post-graduation course. I have done 4 years of a university course and with that have 4 years of experience in 2281 NOC. After completing 1 year of post-graduation course in Canada I will apply for PGW permit. My question is:
1. In this one year, can I work as a retail manager under NOC0621?
2. Will there be an issue that I might face in the future when I apply for PR?
3. I understand that I have to apply for a bridging visa before my PGW expires, what things do I have to keep in mind before I apply to a bridging visa?
4. This question is from an employer perspective, Are there any prerequisites that an employer has to full fill before they give me an employment letter?

3. You will only qualify for a Bridging Open Work Permit if you have already applied for PR, been selected (received ITA) and have submitted your complete application. If you are simply in the Express Entry pool, you will not qualify for a BOWP.

I am really confused right now. I do not want to take another year's course. What do you suggest in this case? Is it worth taking the risk? My CRS points would be somewhere around 500+ in the year 2021.

Are you counting job offer points in this 500 score?

Yes. I am NOC0621 canadian experience. Along with that, i would add foreign work experince under NOC2281.
However, if i get 8777 in IELTS than my points would be 477 without adding any canadian experience

Don't include the 50 job offer points in your calculation. To qualify for the 50 points, your employer would need to obtain an approved LMIA. It's very difficult to find employers willing to go this.

If you have 477 points without a job offer, then you should be selected out of the EE pool for PR. Make sure you've calculated your points correctly.

It's always best to complete 2 years of studies so that you qualify for a 3 year PGWP.

You have to start working immediately which isn’t always possible which is the risk with a 1 year PGWP.

If you want the 50 job offer points then you still need an LMIA.

You would only get the 50 points without an LMIA if you are on a closed work permit with your employer's name listed on it. Since you are on a PGWP which is an open work permit, an LMIA is required.

I thought i would take this job of gas station manager offered to me by an employer few months back and without any delay, i would get my 1 year of experience under NOC0621 in April,2021. Now, with considering everything i am totally confused as what to do next.

It's really up to you.

If you are absolutely certainly that you have over 470, then you should have an excellent chance of being selected for PR. I would recommend that you recalculate your score since it's typically difficult to have this score unless you have at least a Masters if not a PhD, your language scores are maxed out or you have a job offer (which you do not).

It is always best to complete two years of studies to qualify for a 3 year PGWP just in case something goes wrong and it takes longer to get PR.

Again, what you do is your choice.

Would also really exam this gas station manager job and whether it will be classified as a retail manager. How many staff are you overseeing? Is this a large organization? Have you looked at whether you will fulfill the tasks required to claim this as a manager.

The job duties would match however, I would be looking towards 4-5 staff members, as it is not a big store. They are willing to give me an employment letter but if it also requires LMIA than I need to discuss it with the owner.
