So I recently finished my IELTS and got a score good enough to get me into the pool and I'm awaiting my ECA now. My application should not be an issue (my CRS is somewhere between 487-490 all things considered). Hoping things go smoothly for me.
My girlfriend is also applying for PR along with me. We have similar qualifications and experience under NOC 1111 (3 years or more). However, two things that are different in our applications would be:
1. Education - while I have a Masters degree in hand, she has a PGDM which has been evaluated by WES as two degrees (fetching 7 less points)
2. Sibling - I have my sister in Canada which fetches an additional 15 points. She does not have this.
Her CRS all things considered and best case scenario in IELTS (IELTS attempt pending) would be 462-469.
Needed help as to which route should she be going for. EE or PNP? Going by recent trends, EE seems highly unlikely. We're both looking to move to Ontario. How good/bad are her chances of getting through OINP? Will it even be worth trying?
We are planning to get married this year and I can take her in as a dependent (which again would set us back by a good 18-24 months along with all the other documentation).
Or will it be possible for both of us to get in if we get married soon and then apply a joint PR? (unsure what the technical term for that is) I don't know a whole lot about this process or how different it is from the individual process.
Any help would be appreciated!
