On ecas profile it shows that CIC started working on my application on May 16 2019. I submitted via email to CPC-M all the docs asked like PCC, Travel History, Resume and Passport copy on Dec 24th. I called CIC to check about the status today and they told me that officer have received my additional documents on Jan 17th and there is no additional documents required.

Generally how long it takes to get the passport request? I am asking because my parents supervisa ends in March 2020 and they will have to travel back to India.

So i received confirmation from a telephone call to the IRCC that my parents PR application has been accepted and i just have to wait for the PPR letter to be issued which is a huge weight off my shoulders. Can't say how long it will take to be printed and issued but wanted to thank everyone on here for their mutual support and wanted to wish everyone waiting the best of luck. When things look like they are taking their time, all i can say is you just need to be patient and have a little faith in the application system. I'll continue to post my progress dates as they come and fingers crossed to all of you left.

Would imagine they saw something on her chest X-ray and want to investigate further. May be a blessing in disguise if there is something and it is identified early. Your mother can try asking what they have asked the radiologist to look at. They may tell her.
My mother went for further medical examination today to the same panel clinic (in Delhi) where she went the first time. They said the additional test is required due to "abnormality noted on current chest x-ray".

Taking the additional medical test was never an issue, but the process that my mother has to go through at this age is what I would call nothing less than gruesome and torturous.

She showed up at time for her appointment with a chest specialist. The chest specialist spoke to her for less than 2 minutes, charged a good sum of money, then referred her to a CT scan which is not available at the panel hospital. For that, she has to go to another hospital of the panel physician's choice. So she went to the other hospital the same day. There, they did the CT scan which was all clear. With the report in hand, she returned to the panel physician's office. The panel physician said that there is an extra test which is basically requires sputum smears culture for 3 consecutive days. The results of this test are available only after 8 weeks. This test has to be taken again at a hospital of their choice in a different adjoining city (Gurgaon) between the hours of 7:30 am and 8 am only. There is no other way.

So now we have to find a way to make it to the other city early morning for 3 consecutive days and wait for 2 months before we get a report.

What a horrendous inconvenient process. My mother is 70+ and she has to go through this. There is no consideration for her age. There has to be a better way.

I am feeling so disappointed and don't know what to do now.

That's the correct address. It is a PO box number. You cannot locate it on google maps

This is not an unusual process. My father in law had to do the same. The sputum testing is a standard process where they have to rule out TB. TB is infectious and they need to make sure it is not active.

Thanks Canada Post is saying they couldnt deliver it, what should I do?
It is weird. IRCC says to send by Canada post only (since the private couriers don't deliver to PO box). You should ask to send the passports back to you. Then recheck the address you have written (may be a mistake in postal code?)
Other members who have got passports back can add more info.
@Nav_S @Nav2132 @gifty123 What address did you guys send passports to?

If Canada post is saying they cannot deliver it, I will suggest that you ask them to return passports (to be on safe side, better be late than losing them).
If you don't mind telling, when did you get passport request?
