I was so afraid to re do medicals as we had three, the money situation was getting out of hand , I do hope they have some compassion with everyone who has to travel for medicals etc. Because like you said .... it doesn’t grow in trees
Yes , it’s so frustrating, we are gonna try email Trinidad for an extension see if anything happened because March is only a month away.

Hi, I've been thinking about contacting my MP as well. Feb 13 will be exactly 3 months overdue for us. Do you know of anyone who's had success getting information about their file from their MP? I'm in Calgary.. Our application is is Mexico
We are in Calgary too. The MPs have a back channel for getting answers a bit faster, but they can't speed up the process. Unfortunately, their back channels are suffering as well. My MPs office (Bob Benzen) told me that of the 4 senior agents that handle immigration enquiries (ALL OF THEM), 2 left, and now they are down to 2 agents until they train 2 more by the end of this month. So while my MP assistant used to get a response within a day or two, now, two Fridays ago she put in a request for a call back, was told she was #91 on the list, and as of last Friday she was #29 on the list, and she is still waiting. So the services seem to suck for everyone right now.

In terms of information they do seem to be able to get a bit more out of them than we can. For example, I couldn't get anyone to confirm our file had made it to Trinidad, but my MPs office was able to confirm that a week and a half ago when she called to request to speak to a senior agent.

I hope that helps explain what they can and can't do. They DO have a back channel, they can't change your trajectory.

Seems the whole system is crashing is sad , but they should for a bit close those programs and finish the ones we are at , started instead of "backlogging" everyone with false hopes. The fact that gov is stubborn will cause their defeats with this system. I can't imagine mountains of complaints they get at the moment, nor about the Call center red lines but it's their fault, they have caused it. Never been able to adapt and put a pennie on systems , well now you pay for it.

No prizes for guessing why they have put this streamline with India to increase the % of delivered app as completed in the 12 months ( most probably cause without india.. the pourcentage is pathetic.)... I wonder what is their performance with ,.. per example Mexico since 2 years... all i heard is ppl getting over ther 12th ones. And who's paying for all this ? All us at those vo's that it takes ages to have our turn.

Quick question. If sponsor living in Canada gave birth do we have to inform VO? We did provide ultrasound picture when we submitted application back in May

It's not just India, Philippines is also super fast. My coworkers father remarried and his wife was in Canada within 6 months.

Any advice for us to book and go to Trinidad and Tobago for medical?
Is it a one day thing?
How much it cost overthere?
Best flight from Toronto and havana to port of spain?
Hotels or airbnb?
Cab rides?
Appreciate it

Medical Exam is around an hour usually wherever you go, not much more.... for the rest... idk. Is a few questions to know your actual conditions and things that could means a deeper evaluation for IRCC, is all.

Is there xrays or blood test or urine test involved or just questions?

Hi there ..I got this from someone who is in what'sapp group ...just an advice...
Just wanted to share a small FYI to all you fantastic people getting medical requests that Trinidad carnival is coming up at the end of February (feb 24 and 25) but the major parties are happening the week before. And some have actually started . What does this means ? Sold out flights and accommodations, and jacked up prices for flights and the accommodations you can find .

If you find something GREAT but just a word of caution for individuals planning medicals in Trinidad at the end of the month !
