Anyone sponsoring their spouse from Vietnam, please share your experience, questions, concerns and timelines.

I will mail submit our application next week. What is the current 2019-2020 processing timeline?

I am a soldier in the Canadian Armed Forces, I found out that I am getting promoted this summer (July-Aug). I would love it if my wife can attend my promotion ceremony in Canada. Is there anything I can do or submit, to request for my wife's application to be processed timely, in order for her to come to Canada for my promotion this summer?

Standard processing times are 12 months. There is nothing you can do to speed up processing.

I would try applying for a TRV so that she can come for a short visit for your promotion.
