Can we apply to increase work permit for international student.

I had this employer who was going to help me in my immigration express entry but things didn't went well and now he refused to help me for any sort.
Now i am stuck with A work permit expiring in april 2020.

Can someone please help me to answer my question. Can the work permit be extended.

Or should i go for manitoba express entry. Which requires only 6 months of experience in a noc.

I basically only have 6 months of office admin experience.

Please don't advice me to go after the employer legally which i am doing after i sort this out.
