Hi,

could you please help me with the process on how to get PCC in delhi? Do we go to our local Police station and get it? and what format?

Also my mum stayed over 6 months in Canada with us, do i need to get PCC in Canada as well? Right now they are in India.

Thanks in advance
It is actually very easy process. You gotta apply through the Passport Seva website. You can pay fees online and then set up an appointment to get PCC. for us, it took like 7 days. You do not need a PCC from Canada (my parents were in the same situation and Canadian PCC wasn't required)

@vermas and @salviDec2017 I believe you both should apply for visa extension.
@gayfish is in a similar situation and s/he already submitted the visa extension request to IRCC.
Hi
Thanks for sharing.
But are you guys applying for extension while they are in canada (visitor record) or renewal of visitor visa from home (i.e. visit visa is expiring soon)?
in case of renewal of visit visa what are the chances? any idea ..

Yes, just fill-up the form, also sign-up for SMS service so that you get the update in real-time.

Your parents will have to visit the Passport Seva Kendra to pick up the PCC. this will not be mailed. For verification process (this is for Punjab) an officer will visit your house, they will talk to your two neighbours, take their sign and passport pictures. Once approved you will get an SMS to come and pick up the document.

You will need to submit a copy of their aadhar card during your application filling procedure, so get a Copy.

I had the same case my dad had bio in 2013 and it showed valid till 2023 initially under mycic but they asked for bio again. And now they asked for another bio repeat as well. Means he had to do it three time (once for visitor in 2013 and twice for pr)
Hey. after you did the Bio for PR first time, did it show as complete in your myCIC account?. or did they ask for it right after the first one and it didnt show as complete in MyCIC account? .. can you share exactly what happened. Thanks

Thank you so much, this all will help a lot as i prepare the doc for my parents to go to the center.

i think PCC and Medical would come later, first i should be approved as a sponsor ...

it still says In process - i am not sure whats taking so long.

if any of the document would be short, they would have emailed me , right ..

Hi all,
Please add me as a new line entry.
Courier delivered application June 28th, so I may be one of the last applicants in.
No AOR or ECAS yet.
I did contact IRCC via webform out of paranoia that I had botched things up, but they did respond on 12/31/2019 stating that I am still pending processing (hence no AOR), but still within processing times. So i think that means i'm still in the queue and haven't missed the ship.

Hello @robertp @bdidol we got the PPR, LVO is New Delhi. The letter mentions if the parents are in Canada and is intending to stay for 3 months or more we can submit the passport to the case processing centre in Ottawa. We have sent the Passports to Ottawa do we need to let LVO i.e New Delhi know that the Passports are being submitted to CPC - Ottawa since the PPR letter advises Passports must reach Visa office in New Delhi within 30 days of the letter received. Please kindly advise. Thank you

1) Create login ID on Passport Seva Website
2) Apply online of PCC, this involve making online payment, Rs. 500 per application
3) After submission you will get appointment date
4) Visit Passport office along with Original Passport and aadhar card alongwith one set of photocopies, on appointment date
5) Same date police verification will be initiated
6) Within 2 or 3 days police will visit at your given address and will take copies of passport plus plus
7) Same day online report will be sent by Police and
8) Almost same day you will get SMS for PCC
9) Visit Passport office again carrying original passport and collect the PCC

PCC will be in your hand with 4-5 days after appointment date...
(Two times you can change your appointment date online)
