Hi Everyone. can someone please respond to my question? to recap, I am working in Canada currently and my score is at 468 without adding LMIA. My LMIA got approved few weeks back (valid until Feb 2021)so I am wondering if I can add it to my profile and if there will be any complexity. Also, what if say my job ends before my PR arrives and worst case I have to go back to India??

Please please respond so that I can update my profile.
As per IRCC guidelines job offer must be for at least 1 year along with other requirements which you can check in the link below.

https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=695&top=29

As long as your LMIA satisfies this requirements ,you should add it to your profile and claim extra 50 points.

Once you get an ITA, you can always extend your work permit (BOWP) if it expiring before a decision is being made by IRCC on your PR application.

Regarding what if you lose job question, positive LMIA means you have the job secured, it never asked you to perform the job first and then claim point.
so no need to worry here.

hope this clears all your confusion.

Guys does the secondary person in a married person's application need to show work experience (& therefore prove the authenticity of the same) considering that it doesn't yield any point to improve the CRS?
Also, would omitting this information affect the employment chances (in Canada) of the secondary applicant after getting PR?

1. Its not mandatory.
2. No, it wouldn't affect her/his propect of working in Canada

U can mention it in ur spouse personal history section and since u r not claiming any points based on it , there wnt be any verifcation.

IQAS has stopped receiving applications and I hope it will help the CRS score to come down as IQAS has given higher educational credentials than WES does.

waiting at 459

I’m sitting at 451. With a high level of confusion.
I have high ielts and can’t give that again as it won’t get me any increase.

Should I wait or just stop thinking about canada now?

Need an honest opinion for the experts here

Just stay in the pool, while moving on to other things in life. If luck favours, you may get through a PNP! You never know :)
And if you are too desperate to move to Canada, take a shot at learning French... but as many have pointed out, it's not easy and will need a commitment for at least a year!
