I’m afraid while your approach is correct, your data calculation method is incorrect.

Like I previously mentioned, the CRS score breakup which is mentioned on IRCC is before handing out the ITAS on Dec 11. Hence the real numbers of candidates in 451-600 POST ITA = 12717 {15917 – 3200}

The same number, on Dec 19 is 13206 {16226 – 3200}

So the real increase in candidates from Dec 11 -18 should be = 309

But anyways, no-one knows the accurate data. And the more important question is how much CRS would drop in Feb-March after back to back draws
Bruh you are completely missing the point. Yes the real growth in pool is 309 applicants but in the one week span between both the draws 3509 applicants joined the pool out of which 3200 applicants got selected!

How long it took to lean if bro ? From scratch
Got the WES reference numbers for me and my wife on 29th of July this year.
Got my evaluation completed on 1st of October (WES's estimate was 8th of October)
My wife's evaluation completed on 1st of November (estimate was 7th of November)
Wife's 1st IELTS was held on 7th September, result (in the order of LRWS)
declared on 20th of September (secured 7,9,7,7.5)
Wife's 2nd IELTS attempt was held on 28th of September, result declared on 12th of October (secured EXACTLY 8,7,7,7)
My 1st IELTS was held on 12th of October, result declared on 26th of October (secured 7.5,7.5,6,7)
Our CRS stood at 459 but sky came falling down on us to see a cutout of 475!
Didn't give up, wife's 3rd IELTS attempt was held on 23rd of November, result declared on 6th of December (secured 8.5,8.7.5,7)
Our CRS rose to 468 but the cutoff increased to 472 instead of expected decline from 471!
My wife was born on 1st of February so that meant a decline of 5 points from our CRS on that date in year 2020.
The CRS cutoff dwindled down to 469 but I decided to reappear for IELTS anyways & appeared for it on the 20th of December and today (25th of December), I received my TRF (secured 9,8.5,7,7.5).
Now our CRS stands at 472 & we're anxiously awaiting for the next ROI :D

So it took us (4 days short of) 5 months to go from scratch to reach our current CRS of 472 (theoretically my wife can still fetch 3 additional points in IELTS o_O but that'll be a long shot attempt really)

Hope this information helps :)

Is there any OINP general draw targeted at all NOCs? I heard that that had one last year in the month of January. Also, any chances of a Tech Draw in coming months ? My NOC is 2173 (Software Engineer). Anyways, I borrowed money and sitting pen-paper based IELTS on 11 Jan to shoot my crs to 471 from 465. Fingers crossed and hoping to get an ITA before the FST comes.

Hi there,good luck bro, you”ll most probably get in the next draw! i don’t get one thing though, if your wife had already achieved 8777 in October and crs score rose to 459, then how did it increase further to 468 in november by another attempt? She got the same clb 9 band again right? Please help me understand this

Can you share your experiences about learning french
Vocabulary is key. Buy some beginner-level French textbooks in English or your native language to learn basic grammar and pronunciation rules, words and expressions. Then read whatever in French that interests you. In my case, I read the French version of Harry Potter and 24 heures Montreal and Le Journal de Montreal, which are two quebecois French newspapers. Once you've built up your vocabulary, you can improve your listening comprehension skills through youtube French learning channels (highly recommend Français Immersion - and apps like FluentU.

Since I live in a place with zero French-speaking population and a few points from reading and listening are already enough for me, I don't want to spend extra on honing my speaking and writing skills through one-on-one French online classes, but you can search for some classes taught by native speakers at very reasonable rates online.

Last year around this time, no one would have thought of a 1 week gap draw with a cutoff near 470!

Canpr app is predicting 466 to 470 ob Jan 8th draw. How could that be possible?
Maybe because historically, lesser people get added to the pool during the holiday season..

I'm in a fix. I have very limited cash which I want to use for an ACCA program. I'm also considering rewriting my IELTS to get clb 10. I previously had clb 9 and CRS 466.

What's the likelihood of 466 in February latest.

I know chances are good for 469 in end of January if I go for clb 10.

Don't know what to do
