I just received the CSQ yesterday (see my post above), but I find it weird that the dossier # on the actual CSQ is different than the dossier # on the letter they sent me. Anyone else who has gotten the CSQ have different dossier #s?

CPC-M not start processing any QC applicant for medical yet., no one get update from CPC-M.

One CIC agent told me today that in July they received a request from MIDI to stop processing Quebec family sponsership applicatoin becaues the max. number for family application has already been reached/attained this year, and he doesn't know how much applications are currently waiting in queue.

As per tracker @robertp is the only lucky one who got medical after CSQ.
Everyone else from August till Dec are waiting. So it seems true that things are on hold for Quebec applicants.

if Federal increasing # of application for PGP then Quebec suppose to increase too. how it will go if Quebec keep same # and Federal increasing PGP application? CIC agent told that QC reached # for year 2019 then why MIFI posted on website following comment?


The Department is currently receiving an exceptional volume of family sponsorship cases. As a result, it has become impossible to meet the 25-day deadline set out in the Customer Service Statement.

However, be assured that these delays will not affect the timelines for issuing permanent resident visas to sponsored persons. MIFI and IRCC work together to ensure that your file is processed and visas are issued in a timely manner. Arrangements have also been made so that you do not have to worry about the date of issuance of the Québec Selection Certificate. The MIFI is in charge of making the link with the IRCC.

I think they intentionally delayed issuing CSQ, so less CSQ in end half of the year so less problems to answer.

I understand, same thing after july or so they started this 2 to 3 months needed for CSQ. So eventually process gets delayed for rest of the stuff, and we jump into 2020.

Ur questions are valid and there should be some ways to get an answer for that.

Though Quebec looks easy like 1 year requirement , but my belief is, life here is pretty difficult.

AFAIK, its around 11000 in 2018, 8900 in 2019, 10200 in 2020 for family class.
