Forum has slowed down. Has everyone mostly gotten their PR? Or have we all just silently given up? No updates for 11 months....

I'm kinda over it tbh, take however long you want but at least have the decency to give real accurate and easily accessible updates, especially for the delayed cases...
Send a mail to that IRCC mail that was posted some days back.

Please explain your frustrations in the email and say that you have not gotten updates for 11 months.

Still waiting... AoR Feb 27. No updates since April 5th...

How does one you check in which office your case is being processed? I don't think I've seen that in any of the messages I've received through the portal.

Nothing changed since April.

Which one of you guys are international student and applied for PR? Becuase in my case, I am pretty sure they have hold my application till I graduate!!! Which makes sense because God forbid, If I get my pr before graduation, they make less money!!!!!

It's appalling how they leave people's lives in such uncertainty. I've been told multiple different "stories" and I have no idea what or who to believe anymore. Don't accept that many applications if you can't process them in time, something that should take half an hour to look at takes 4,5,6 extra months on top of the "normal" processing time. Absolute joke.

I am in the same situation, do you reckon that's the case? I've read similar cases but they did get their PRs in "due time".

The way I see it is because we're already on a study permit we would be treated as "not so urgent" cases and they'll sit on our files because why not?

Visa Office......
Montreal
Hello everyone,

So for a change after 3 months of waiting, I got a “GHOST” update today however on calling CIC agent came to know that my security is passed today but eligibility is still under review.

Sounded more scary as usually security is the last step.

But 1 thing is strange that my “We are reviewing your additional documents you submitted” has changed to “Not applicable” but still eligibility has no update.

Only God can help me now to sail.

AOR : 1st February, 2019
Category : CEC Inland
Visa Office : Montreal
Medicals : Passed
Criminality: Passed
Security: Passed
Eligibility: Under Review since 11th September, 2019

Wish PPR for the ones who are still waiting coz I know and can relate that its not a good feeling.

Well they can ask for remeds if they are expiring in 90days. I did my first meds in early Jan( not feb sorry about that)
So they asked me to do it again. I see that they directly renew meds for some people and for some like me they ask to do it again.
what’s ur aor? And case status?
When did they send you the mail for re-meds? How many weeks prior to your first med?

So I got a reply from the CSE I raised a few days ago:

Good day Muhammad Safi Ullah Khan,

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We verified the information on file and can confirm that:

  • The background verifications are currently valid.
  • The security background verification is in process.
  • The criminal background verification is currently valid.
While the processing times may vary with each case, we will make all the necessary efforts to finalize your application as soon as possible.

Rest assured that you will be informed as soon as a decision is reached or if additional information is needed.

We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry.

What do you guys think? Should I remain hopeful??
